Pretty happy with this so far. We've only had it a couple of weeks, but it is very similar to the many Contigo water bottles I've gone through. I bought these for the kids because they are ready to step up from the valved (harder to suck through), smaller Contigo bottles.A couple of things you should be aware of with this type of bottle that I see a lot of comments on...1) There is no check valve or bite valve in the mouthpiece, just a separate check valve that lets air in when you suck. There is slight resistance from the restricted airflow, but nothing like trying to suck through a mouthpiece valve. It is not spill-proof when you turn it upside down with the mouthpiece open, but because air cannot come rushing in, water doesn't flood out either - more of a dribble. So I still consider this an adequate spill-resistant school water bottle for my 6 and 8 year olds. With the mouthpiece closed, it does not leak.2) This bottle is single-walled - it will not keep drinks cold all day like a double-walled bottle will. If you put ice water in and then leave it in a hot car, the pressure will build up as the water expands and will force water out when you open the mouthpiece. All bottles of this type do this (although valved mouthpieces do it less because there is more resistance that must be overcome by the pressure). To prevent getting doused, if you know the water has heated up since you put it in, twist the lid enough to alleviate the pressure before taking a drink. Or do what my kids do... get wet and laugh about it.The soft touch exterior has a nice feel to it. I don't really expect it to last with all the bumps, drops, rolls, and scrapes these bottles will be subjected to. I'd just be happy if the plastic doesn't crack. I do wish there was less badging, but it is what it is.The 24 oz volume is perfect for encouraging drinking. the body is narrow enough to fit in standard cup holders and backpack webbed pockets, and the opening is wide enough to accommodate ice cubes. The issue with the straw not reaching to the bottom is a legitimate one. 1/4" longer would have been perfect, and it's not like you can pull the straw out of the mouthpiece 1/4 inch without it falling out entirely. But it's not worth a star off, in my opinion, because the bottle actually holds a measured 26 oz. So the extra ounce left in the bottom is negligible.Overall, thus far, I'm very satisfied. I'll update my review should things change.Update 10/28/16: I'm not sure if I'm more surprised that the soft-touch coating has held up throughout the fist couple of months of school, or that my kids haven't lost these yet. I continue to be impressed by the durability and function of these bottles. They've been in the dishwasher once a week on average, and still show very few signs of wear.

No leaking so far. I've had this about a month now. I use this every single day and I fill it up numerous times every day. It's quite expensive for a water bottle – but so far it has not leaked. Customer service was great – they followed up before and after I received the product to see if I had any questions or concerns. The only oddity that I noticed with this water bottle was that when I first tried to use it I thought it was broken because no air or water was coming through the straw. I'm not sure if this is a defect on just my bottle, but I eventually got it to work when I pierced "something" within the lid mechanism with the straw....not sure quite what happened, but that did the trick and now it works fine.

This was a great water bottle until the washer in the cap fell out after only a month of moderate use. I tried putting it back in multiple times but it kept ending up back in the bottom of my water. When the seal falls out, water leaks everywhere, and endangers the contents of my bag. I once opened my purse to find water had spilled all over my phone, which luckily survived. The water bottle I received may be defective, or the product is just poorly designed. Whatever the case may be, the item I got was not worth the $16 I payed.

Nice concept, but it's actually slick to pick up and the straw doesn't allow you to drink the entire drink (have to remove lid for that) .. went to drink from it just yesterday and when I pressed the button the drink shot out of the straw pop up and covered me in water

As a cyclist, runner and father, we have a collection of dozens of water bottles. This is amongst the best I've tried. The ergonomics and design are excellent. Size is perfect overall and the grip of the bottle is very useful. The bottle fits well into my [bicycle] bottle cages and is light and small enough to take on a run. Our kids also had no issue handling the bottle. It's designed in a very user-friendly, thoughtful manner. The pop up straw is very useful as well. I've been guilty of leaving the top in an open position to find the bottle leaking all over later. No such issues here. Cleaning is very easy and it looks really cool too, which is an added bonus.

I love this water bottle so much. Very good quality and worth the price. I've been using many designs of water bottle and this one is by far the best I ever had so far. It's perfectly made and I'm pretty it will last longer, because of the way it's made. If you're looking for a quality water bottle then look no further as this is best one in the market.

Love this bottle. It does not leave any bad taste or smelly mildew. I love the button that flips up the straw and how it closes.

Purchased this Water Bottle for my daughter for a Christmas present. She is very conservative and not a fan of bottled waters for many reasons. She "loves" this sports water bottle!
