Sexuality of various types pulse thru "Sexus", a film that's the epitome of the French 'erotic thriller'. Director José Bénazéraf ("Night Of Lust", "Sin On The Beach") is a master of mood and in "Sexus" he creates an atmosphere of tension and sensuality with his slow and methodical unveiling of a relationship that undergoes an incredible metamorphosis. Bénazéraf explores the effects of a heightened eroticism on people under stress and comes up with a film with sexuality pulsing through it. Virginia is the daughter of a rich man and she's kidnapped at gunpoint by Blackie and Carl. But their plan to ransom her untangles with the addition of this erotic morsel to their household. Soon, the tension reaches a boiling point and something has to give. As the kidnappers fight amongst themselves, Virginia makes a new ally. But the addition of a second woman creates an even stranger alliance. Add in Chet Baker's pulsating score and some sapphic strippers and you have a recipe for mayhem. Atrociously cut and desperately dubbed for its American release, "Sexus" is presented here in its original uncut French version. DVD EXTRAS Strip (1965) - Go behind the scenes of a Continental strip club to see and hear what the women who work there are really like.
