Snow River USA Hardwood Maple Gripper Carving Board with Stainless Steel Ring, 14" x 18" x 1"

My husband loved this for Christmas, as I. The silver ring in the middle is missing, which is why I purchases it. I have been fighting with the company for the missing piece. They have told me, " we can't just take the ring from another board" . Not understanding this, why not! I sent all information they have requested and they still aren't able to find my order. Don't let this incident persuade you not to buy the item. It is a fantastic cutting board.

I had the exact same experience as the previous reviewer - the board cracked within 4 months of purchase (maybe 6 uses?)and leaks all over the counter. Useless.

It did work well for many years as an occasional, three or four times a year item (even after one of the spokes broke off) but this Thanksgiving it cracked and leaked big time.

I've had this cutting board for over 30 years. Its great for holding a large roast in place while slicing. The only challenging thing is removing the metal gripper ring for cleaning. Prying it up using a regular screwdriver as a lever, makes cleaning a breeze.I've been trying to find this board to buy 2 & give one to each of my married sons. Finally, success!!

I bought this to use for carving the turkey at holidays. The board we were using was much smaller, and had more shallow drip troughs, making the process much messier. My husband is the carver, and it bothered me to see him struggle with the mess.This board is very solid and the drip troughs are much deeper, so no mess. The gripper ring in the center keeps the turkey in place while it is being carved.

Despite careful cleaning and drying, the board began to delaminate where it was glued together. A carving board that leaks juices all over the table is, well, unusable.

LOOKED EVERYWHERE IN LOCAL STORES FOR ONE LIKE THIS, WITHOUT LUCK. I HAD ONE GIVEN TO ME AS A WEDDING PRESENT 50 YEARS AGO AND WANTED TO FIND A SIMILAR ONE. FOUND IT ON-LINE AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE.
