Purchased to heat up my motor cycle side stand, to aid straightening.Works a treat, good control over flame and auto ignition. Quality peace of kit and fit securely onto gas canister. Only criticism would be the sealing o ring was loosely packed and could easily be lost.

Fed up with those health and safety obsessed chef's blowtorches where you have to press six buttons and turn a lever just to get one tiny flame? Then this is the piece of kit for you. Once fitted onto a can of gas this would have been just the ticket for facing off against the marauding hun in WW1. We are talking a one mofo of a flame-thrower True, the ignition does not always work. And the gas canister has caught on fire a few times which could have blown the house up. But boy is it fun to use. So if you have a thirst for adventure and aren't too poncey about the possibility of sustaining third degree burns I would not hesitate to recommend it. Ideal for creme brûlées and torching enemy villages.

Fantastic bit of kit at first....Fits the ubiquitous gas canisters used for portable camping stoves which are cheap and available everywhere. The plastic key on the base of the blowtorch matches the cut out in the neck of the gas bottle so it can only fit one way. Line it up, give it a quarter turn clockwise and it's gas tight and secure. Works brilliantly with a powerful flame...Except when it's run in total for less than an hour, the brass ring around the nozzle that forms the jets falls off...it's only a push fit and once fallen off it stays off and renders the torch useless. So, great design let down by poor manufacturing standards. Really frustrating as in the kitchen it was the best torch I've used

Solid metal, igniter not overly powerful. Adjustable dial/knob difficult to use. Tightening it fully still takes a long time for the gas to extinguish. Doesn’t inspire confidence in a potentially lethal product.

In a world of rubbish blow touch attachments, this isn't.Just to clarify, this is a good one =)

The unit fits on the gas can quite tightly, but that's the whole point it's supposed to.It lights first time and has a strong flame perfect for general cooking and BBQing.I use it often to light my wood-chip smoker, which it does perfectly.I don't know why so many people are complaining, maybe they are false bad reviews paid for by the competitor, but suffice it to say this unit is great and works perfectly.Highly recommended.
