Game-changer!!!
I bought this system for my daughters, twins who were 6 and their sister who was 7. This has been a game-changer for us! I'm a single mom who's also a teacher, so I don't have a lot of time. On top of that, organization is probably number one on my list of things that I am horrible at, so trying to teach my girls how to pick up after themselves is next to impossible. With this system, our house is looking a lot neater on a regular basis, there's a lot less nagging on my part, and the girls are earning their own spending money while still developing a sense of responsibility as members of the household! It's a win-win all the way around! Here's how it works:You set up the chore chart in a configuration that works for you. You can set it up to show the chores that need to be completed each day for a week at a time, or do daily chores organized by morning, afternoon, and evening, or you can set it up by category (personal responsibilities and household responsibilities), or some combination thereof. For us, each child has a morning, afternoon, and evening pocket where I put the cards for things like "brush hair," "make your bed," "do your homework," "put away dirty clothes," etc. Then I have a pocket that I use for daily responsibilities (feed the cats, empty the dishwasher, etc.) and a pocket for "to be completed by the weekend" responsibilities, such as dusting, refill the soap dispensers, clean your room, etc. Each child has their own row of cards, and the personal responsibility cards are color specific to each child. The "household responsibility" cards are teal, and they can be divided up among the kids. It works well to lay out all the chores you want the kids to do and each one pick what they will be responsible for. They are much more likely to do it on their own without nagging if they pick it themselves! On each card, you can check at the bottom if it is a responsibility card, meaning something they need to do as a contributing member of the family, or if it is a job they can get paid tickets for. The pen that comes with the set is erasable, so you can adjust them as they get older. There is also a place to add extra information to each card. For example, on the one that says "empty the dishwasher" I have added in "don't forget the drying mat!", and on the one that says "extra reading" I have written in "15 minutes". As they get older, I can erase and change what I've written and can add more complicated chores. When each job gets completed, they can place the finished card behind their name or in a pocket you label "done." At the end of the day, you give them ticket cards for each job they get "paid" for. The ticket cards come in ones, fives, and tens. Then at the end of the week (or whenever your set time is) they can redeem the tickets for actual money, or screen time, or special items in a "family store", or whatever other creative rewards you want them to have. The best part about this is that the kids are learning that some things around the house have to be done because you're part of the family and you work together to keep up the home. But they also have a way to earn and budget money. (I am not a fan of allowance, because then they can grow up thinking that they money will always be coming even if they don't work for it.)I love the variety of cards that are offered as well. Obviously a lot of time and thought has been put into this system, because there are cards for most everything. There are also some blank cards and labels included if you need to add something specific to your family. So in short, I HIGHLY recommend this system. It works so well, it is adaptable to children ages preschool to teenager, and it's even great for grownups trying to keep up with all the household chores! In fact, I'm planning on expanding mine to include a row of chores for me to do. (Did I mention that I'm NOT an organized or neat person?!) I've been using it for a little over a month by this point, so it's still a bit of a novelty, and with it being summer vacation our daily routine is a lot more relaxed than during the school year. Later on I'll try to update this post to report how it goes during our hectic months. But from what I've seen so far, it's worth every penny!

Super easy! Kids LOVE it! Teaches Responsibility!!
Finally something to help get my kids excited about having control yet still doing what they need to do to keep their lives and chores and check! Even my six-year-old can use this! Every kid feels like they accomplished something and it gives them a sense of Independence and responsibility to be able to check, double check, or even triple check their chore list. The cards are extremely well-thought-out and are pretty much equal to normal children's daily routines and activities. I like the fact that you can set it up anyway you want this way it accommodates daily, weekly, and even timed chores / responsibilities. I would only make three changes to this system or suggestions even but none of them take away from the five stars because it is just that amazing! First thing, I wish the reward summary card had a blank line so I could add my own reward for them to work towards. Second, I wish there was like 10 or even 15 more blank cards per kid because I found myself making up Corky Little Things that needed to be done that I couldn't find a card that fit. But it's just because I'm a neat freak not because these cards are not extremely well thought-out. I'm truly amazed at the list it covers. Or maybe figure out how to offer a customized card pack containing 50 cards. But seriously you guys have done an amazing job at card selection.and Lastly, I wish there was a way you could select a number of slots needed, not order based on a per kid basis. Offer both, but for me my chores broke down to daily times and then I had weekly chores that were on specific days each week. I found myself needing more slots than I had because of that, so I needed to order a bigger version. But that's ok, I figured it out eventually. Still would have made it easier to have more slots. So moms out there that want to break down their days by the hour or daily and weekly...buy bigger!

Good Starting System for our family...
We have two kids age 10 and almost 7. We wanted to start having more set routine and chores for them so we bought this kit to kind of give us a jump start. Theres enough cards for things that we need them to do and i like that there are plenty of blank cards i can add things unique to our family. Theres a lot of cards we wont use but thats to be expected, everyones situation is different. The kids are really enjoying the system, it motivates them to help around the house and takes stress off of me to figure out what needs done. We as adults use a kanban system for household chores, etc and this is like a little kanban for the kids thats a bit more fun and pretty looking. The actual pocket chart being in kind of sections is very innovative for being able to adjust the system for the amount of space that you need and how you want it laid out. Its a very versatile system that could be made to work for many many families. The cards are good quality, nice and thick, feel very durable. All and all we really are excited to keep using this.

Overpriced, but great concept.
I love this chore chart. My kids are excited to do their chores. It arrived on time and was neatly organized in the box it came in. I liked that it came with instructions and pictures of different ways to set up the chore list. Unboxing it I was a little disappointed. I thought it would not be on big chart NOT individual pieces to put together to make the chart. I also thought it would be higher quality for the price. It took me a long time to set up and customize to fit my family’s needs. After it was set up I got items for our “family store”. My daughter is very excited to use it and collect her tickets. She’s saving her tickets to spend on device time, or the family store. I decided to purchase Neatlings over other chore charts just because of the ticket concept. We were not disappointed. I have two kids 7 and 4 years old. They both have different responsibilities based on their age, and this chart works well for both of them. I’m glad of my purchase. The only reason why I didn’t give it five stars. It is way over priced for the quality of materials you receive. You could buy another chore chart and make your own tickets if you want to save the money.

Fantastic for kids on the spectrum
Great incentive for my kids and very helpful in teaching them to be more proactive when it comes to self care. This is especially useful for my son who is autistic as he is clearly abke to see what self care tasks he needs to do each day. I love how I can use it with all my kids and also add jobs when I need to. Compete game changer in our house!
