YuanKanJu Dowl-it Model 1500

This is a solid bit of American ingenuity. Solid metal for the holes and the plates to hold onto the wood. A line to help you line up the hole with your mark on the wood. I used this for 20+ holes on a wood frame I built and they all were centered correctly at least by the wood’s thickness. As for horizontal alignment, I recommend making the hole in the mating piece a little looser so the dowel can be slid in and accommodate the inevitable minor misalignments.

If you are looking for a doweling jig that actually does what its suppose to do, this is it. Very solid construction and all of the parts fit exactly like they are suppose to. I have used it to join boards for a table top and all of the boards fit flush afterward. It truly does center the dowels perfectly, and the measuring lines are clear and easy to see. Don't go cheap on a doweling jig, this is the one you want.

This product is very high quality and easy to use. I used this to drill holes in the top of door so I could hang them on rollers.It worked perfectly. the self centering feature is great. No errors. When I received this and used it I was very satisfied. One other thing, the supplier sent it by priority mail and it arrived 2 days before it was supposed to. Very refreshing.

This is the second one I have owned. I Needed a larger dia. for a specific project. There are cheaper tools on the market and they are just that - cheap. This tool is worth every penny. Shipping was amazingly fast. - 1 day USPS. I do not write or provide reviews often, but in this case, I felt it was worth the time and effort.

Only now am I complete.
