RolandPowerPly 16" Dual-Ply Mesh Head (MH2-16)

As usual, Roland products are excellent. Price is CRAZY, but I wanted a reliable, resilient kick head that was at least 2 ply. I had previously installed Remo SilentStrokes on all 7 batter heads. They work, but they're lackluster and the stick response is overly bouncy (my first foray into mesh heads on acoustic drums... going hybrid). Remo kick head lasted less than 3mo, so I wanted to try the Roland head. I'm not disappointed. Great response in feel. Triggers with no issue. Recommended, if your budget allows, since the kick head alone cost me more than a full set of the Remo heads. I have also bought a set of RTOM heads to try... just haven't needed to install them yet.

I replaced a cheaper open mesh style head on a DIY conversion snare and it increased the response of the drum. If it lasts as long as other Roland heads on my kit it will be worth the price.

As mesh drumheads for this one is fairly good.
