Febco905-212 for 765 Vacuum Breakers and Backflow Preventers, 1 Inch And 1 1/4 Inch

Two plumbers wanted to charge 2 1/2 hours of labor plus material. Total charge was going to be 1200 to $1400. I replaced this, with no experience except watching youtube video, in 20 minutes! Search febco 765 and you will find the videos.

This appears to be a good quality OEM replacement part, however, it is made in China just like the knock-off brands and I wonder what difference there is to really justify the high price.

Seems to have fixed my problem. Minus one star because there were no instructions (YouTube came in really handy here) and because it seems like it should cost less than half the price... but I will be nice and only subtract 1 star even though I feel like I'm getting ripped off for plastic pieces.

It's an instant fit but a bit Pricey. There were other alternatives. Considering it was a DIY spent the money to get the OEM, didn't take the chance. If it happens again will try the alternatives. It's a simple plastic part with O rings.

I bought a cheaper version of this product three weeks prior. In my case, you get what you pay for and this unit was worth the extra money. Could easily tell by how it was threaded and how well it seated in the brass valve. It quickly installed and I was back to watering my very dried out lawn.
