Works great with for simple inexpensive projects
The onboard USB works well with Mac OS X Sierra. (need to install FTDI drivers, not included in Arduino IDE). Had issues with Mac OS X and a different LilyPad that had a separate board for USB. I recommend using this one instead (as did AMX3d customer support). I did have some technical issues with previous purchases of this same board, but the wonderful customer support at AMX3d were dedicated in making things right. One of the best customer service experiences I've had in a while.

The board functions as it should but the edges are so rough they get snagged on the fabrics easily.

Lilypad Arduino with micro USB connection
I ordered 4 of the LilyPad Arduino boards and 3/4 work great. One was faulty, but the return/replace option was very easy, and I was able to get a refund on the faulty item with no problems. I am relatively new to arduous technology, but found the lilypad easy to use once I found the directions online. This product was appropriate for textile/apparel craft projects I intend to undertake. I find this product easier to use than some of the other lilypads as this model has a direct micro USB connection and does not require and FTDI breakout board to connect to my computer for programming.

Poor quality control
Poor quality control and poorly packed. Upon arrival the mini-usb port was crushed and detached from the board. As you can see from the picture attached the reset button was miss aligned when it was being soldered.

but I got it working and it works fine. I'm leaving a good review because other people ...
There is a noted issue with finding the port for this Lilypad on newer macs. You need to mess with the FTDI driver and the bootloader. It took me awhile, but I got it working and it works fine. I'm leaving a good review because other people have had similar issue with even Adafruit Lilypads, so I'm not sure the problem is limited to this particular board.
