Game Changer!
The Elvie curve is a game changer! I’ve been using the haakaa suction breast pump with all MOTN nursing sessions since my son was born. Now that hes 4 months old, he easily kicks or pulls the haakaa off and spills milk EVERYWHERE. The Elvie Curve easily fits in my bra and is kept safe from kicking feet and exploring hands. It’s helped me boost milk production and maintain my frozen milk stash. 10/10 recommend!!

Better than most silicone manual pumps
Of all the silicone, manual type breast pump/milk collectors this one is my favorite. Don’t waste your money on others. This one works better because it is more structured, with the plastic shell, and therefore fits better and stays on better. It can sit easily inside of your bra while you nurse. Helps to collect milk and stimulate more production. Beware of the suction! I have gotten bruises from it, so be careful with how much suction you apply.

Overpriced for what it is
Purchased for road trip to use on one side while nursing on the other. Baby is 7 months. Left on during and for 1 hour after feed and had 5-6 drops of milk in total. Sitting in the car, I had to readjust and reattach multiple times, but easy to use. Used around house a few times while nursing other side and had less than half an ounce. For $50 I wanted to love this thing. Compared to the cost of the Haakaa, this thing is significantly overpriced for what it is . Its much more discreet and not as bulky, which was why I stopped using the Haakaa. Would have been more useful at the earlier months when milk supply is ample. For me, I never had an oversupply and never leaked or had a significant letdown on the other side while nursing. An electric pump with stronger suction works better. If you have an oversupply, or letdown easily, I'd go with a cheaper silicone brand and save the $. You don't need the name brand and fancy packaging, which is what you're paying for. Plus they never go on sale. Its easy to clean, however when drying, water pools into the "release" button and can never fully dry. I had to shake out multiple times while on drying rack to shake out water that accumulated inside and spend an extra 15 seconds balancing it to drain properly. Not a deal breaker, but for $50 that stands out to me. Comes in two pieces. The white outer skeleton is unnecessary and adds to the weight. (Probably useful if you fill up the cup, which never happened with me.)Going back, I would have invested in cups for my electric pump instead. (Like Freemie etc. )

pouring can be a nightmare
Amazing concept, but pouring can be a nightmare. 1/2 the time when I pour it leaks out of the valve. I’ve only been using it for 3 weeks so it’s not overly used.

Just what I needed
I wish I would have known this style collection cup existed before buying a Medela hand pump for basically the same purpose. I’m on my third baby and I’ve had a Haakaa collection cup before and hated it (the kind that has the bottle-shaped bottom) - it never stayed on properly and always spilled all over when removing it.The Curve is amazing. It’s two pieces, and minimal parts to disassemble is a huge plus, easy to clean and so simple to use. While I definitely wouldn’t say it’s discreet or invisible (wouldn’t wear it out on errands), it is so nice to just pop it on inside a bra, push once or twice on the front for suction and forget about while nursing on the other side. With no effort and about 15 minutes, I’m collecting 1.5-2 oz, which won’t fill up the newborn for a feeding, but is great for mixing in Vitamins D drops.I hate pumping, this doesn’t hurt and takes almost zero work, and collects what would otherwise just be leaking into my shirt. Only sorry I didn’t know about it/have it sooner, 10/10 would recommend for passive collection.

Better than Hakkah
I used a hakkah milk collector with my first and always had a hard time centering it correctly or not collecting as much milk. This elvie milk collector is so much easier to quickly put on before a feeding. I only use it when I’m breastfeeding on the side my baby isn’t latched to and it always works great. More comfortable to wear while breastfeeding as well. 10/10 recommend for breastfeeding.

Convenient, discreet, easy to use.
This was super easy to use to catch my letdown on the opposite breast while my baby was nursing. I got an extra ounce in about 15 minutes without having to pump. Unlike Haakaas which are super uncomfortable and borderline painful for me to use, plus I aren't discreet at all, this fit in my bra and I can wear it anywhere, even out of the house. I would recommend this to anyone who is breastfeeding as an easy way to catch just a little extra here and there to increase your stash.

Twice Faulty Product
I initially loved this product because it effectively collects 4 oz per feed for me. However, during my first nursing experience, the silicone cracked, resulting in lack of suction I did not repurchase due to the price. I repurchased in July ‘24 during the Amazon Prime sale after learning I was pregnant, and just had my baby this February. My baby just turned one week old today, and the silicone has already cracked, once again, leaving me with no suction. Because I purchased in July, I am not eligible for a replacement. Super disappointed. If this product wasn’t twice faulty, it’d be a staple in my breastfeeding journey. Instead, I’ll repurchase the Boone Trove even though it only collects 3 oz.
