The Sophia Wall Mounted Cat Tree in Black

My cats love it, mounted easy and with included mounting options. It holds my 16lb Maine Coon, two four pound kittens and my six pound calico with no issues. I have a right facing and left facing and my cats will hop from each of them and even sleep on them.I was leery of the mounting options that it came with, but so far has been fine with the drywall anchors and small brackets. I went through and modified the one designed to be a storage area and cut a tunnel hole in for my cats as they enjoy being in the cubby area. Would gladly purchase again.

I spent 144 on a broken piece of junk. I'm sad that I'll have to figure out a way to return this. The screws are stripped, the wood is split in places. You simply can not put it together because the screws are so loose that the brackets could never hold it up. To fix this I'll need wood glue, clamps, possibly a saw. Horrible product. I've never bought something that is this poorly constructed. Please beware, this may be truly impossible to assemble given what is in the kit. A complete scam and waste of money.

My cats love it but there are brackets that are visible making it rather ugly. They are also not made of high quality material. I am returning mine to Amazon and looking for a better solution.

This set of cat shelves caught my eye because they are dual functional - they're designed to look like attractive shelving while providing a cat an area to climb and to lounge up high. The box I received was missing all of the assembly hardware (screws, bolts, brackets, etc). I contacted the seller, and they promptly sent a set of hardware. Assembly is easy, although the instructions do fail to mention one important detail: the top panels must be oriented with the 4 small bracket holes in line with the center point of the long bottom panel (shelf). During assembly, I noticed that both shelf panels were significantly warped - the ends where the cat's feet are in the product pictures are about a 1/4" higher than the center point and the other end of the panels. It is somewhat noticeable now that the shelves are mounted to my wall -- half of the shelf level and half is not.Aside from the bent wood issue, the product does look attractive. As with any wall-mounted product, I recommend tossing the factory mounting screws and drywall plugs, and buying quality set of heavier duty wall fasteners (eg toggle bolts) from a hardware store. Drywall is flimsy, and anything that's going to take a significant amount of weight and vibration (like a bounding cat) needs to be held securely.So far, my cat has not taken an interest in hopping onto the shelves, despite my plopping him up there a few times to get him acclimated. Time will tell.

I really wanted shelving for my cats, but most were either wicked expensive, really ugly, or a combination of both. This seemed to be a happy medium between aesthetics and price, so I went for it.When I opened the box, a lot of the hardware was missing. It was crappy hardware anyway so I didn't bother contacting the seller and just made a run to the hardware store for some better stuff. The L-brackets we had to get are kind of ugly and we had to re-drill because we couldn't find ones that lined up quite right. The set also did not come with anchors. Please dear god if you have cats over 10lbs BUY ANCHORS or these things will rip right off of the wall.They were a pain to put up, and the cats didn't really take to them at first. But now they love them!Tips: put some food up there to encourage the cats to explore. Also, if you put them above a radiator/heat strip the heat will rise and they will hang out up there for the extra warmth in the winter.

I'll confess that I was pretty worried about buying this product, as I'm fighting a losing battle against looking like a crazy cat lady. (I already have two cat trees and an estimated five million cat toys lying around my house.) BUT, I bought them, put them up with a minimal amount of help, and, the cats immediately jumped up on them and started enjoying their new perch.A day or so later, a friend came over and said, "new shelves!" Nice! It's cool that the cats like sitting on them!"They pass the cat test AND the these-don't-make-me-look-like-a-crazy-cat-lady-test! 5 stars from me AND the cats!

I have a younger very active male cat the appreciates the change in scenery

This product was shipped with insufficient quality control. I guess the factory failed to notice that it didn't drill the correct number of screws on the shelf. I was offered a return for the unit, but declined because I use it as a low end table / hiding place for storage. It was not safe to hang up

Easy to assemble and kitties love it

I got this as I needed a sturdy shelf to display my more heavier decorations, so it had to hold a good weight. While the shelves themselves are very sturdy, there was a problem. One of the wood boards was missing a vital bolt that the screws needed to securely fasten into place(all 4 were missing in the board). This is not good cause it made the shelf unsafe and rickety. The other shelf(one with the tunnel) had everything and was assemble in less then 15mins. with no problems. It was the one with the display cubby I had problems with. I would advice people that buy go to the hardware store and buy back ups of those rounds screw fastening bolts and any other bolts for that matter just in case. Other then that no problems at all with putting it together.

Product is cheaply made but the cats love it. Only one of the shelves has a little door for the cat(s) to go in, the other one is closed although they do manage to get in anyways ;) This product was on Taylor Swift's kitty must have list so I wanted to try it. I wouldn't say a must have, but it is cool.P.S. Buy extra support brackets, you'll need them!
