Colored Pencils Arespark 24 Color Art Colored Drawing Pencils, Artist Sketch Set of 24 Assorted Colors

I know people seem to freak that a lot of reviews are paid, etc...But this one isn't. I love these! Sure they're selling these under forty different names, but I found this listing to have the cheapest 72 set, so I bought through this one. The colors are nice and varied. They are as bold as you want them. They blend pretty well, too. My other pencils were bothering my hand because I had to push very hard, but these are much softer but not so much so that I have to sharpen them often. Are they professional level? No...But will they give you the ability to use your amateur skills to go from light to deep color depending on pressure and use your creativity in blending, etc? Yep!

I LOVE these pencils. I have tried every other name brand colored pencil out there. This is the first I have found that doesn't break into little chunks when you sharpen it. Such a waste! With just a few turns these pencils get a nice fine, hard point perfect for coloring the tiniest of details. The color lays down smoothly and unlike some others, the you can really get shaddinig and highlighting based on the amount of pressure you use. I got these as an Amazon Black Friday flash deal but they are a good value at the regular Amazon price. Try them! I assure you they will soon become your go-to tools of creativity. Oh, and I also love the sheer number of colors available. Not just one or two reds, but about 12 in graduating hues.

Like so many folks, I wanted to see if adult coloring really did bring me stress relief. I chose these pencils because they were the right price and had such a wide range of colors. I'm not an artist by any stretch but these inspired me to experiment with unusual combinations. They've stood up well with no lead breakage. They are a pleasure to use and color with not-too-soft, not-too hard pressure needed. I have since used them in other crafts and drawing, something I didn't think I would do. They sharpen easily, even using a cheap little drug store sharpener, without pulling apart or going all sideways. Even though adult coloring didn't send me into stress-free bliss I was very happy with these pencils and enjoy using them.

These pencils are exactly what I wanted. I have received three coloring books as gifts. Initially I had markers. Those are good but they sometimes bleed through the page and there weren't any "natural" colors in the marker set. These pencils have such a wonderful variety of hues and although I'm no expert they have certainly made my pictures come out beautifully. I have a friend who doesn't like pencils because she says they hurt her hand from pressing down too hard but I have not found any of that here. These go on smoothly and cleanly and I really look forward to those relaxing moments when I can sit down in the peace and quiet and just enjoy coloring.

I bought the 72 color set and am very pleased with it. There is a good selection of colors. Other reviewers complained about difficulty sharpening: the pencils sharpen easily for me using a hand held little metal sharpener. I have had no breakage. Like other reviewers I am using them in coloring books. Unlike some others I have not been offered any remuneration for my review, and noticed no chemical smell.

I ordered these to try (along with another brand at the same time) based on the reviews I read. These pencils are a good set, softer lead which helps with blending tones. I would have given them 5 stars, however there was a very strong odor coming from the box that smells like spray paint. That's my only complaint. I'm airing them out to see if it goes away. Otherwise, great set!

Overall, they are good. Be careful sharpening. I have had several pencils that the lead broke after sharpening. Had to do it again. I would recommend an electric sharpener, as they do not tend to 'over sharpen'. So be careful or you will end up wasting a lot of lead. (I know it isn't really lead). Will buy them again when I need more, especially now that I know to be careful.

Got these to use with Secret Garden style adult coloring books. I really like them--they are hard enough not to wear down instantly, and sharpen nicely when it becomes necessary, yet they lay down nice bright dense colors. Seem like a good buy for the price, although I'm sure an art professional might disagree.
