One of the best values for a generator out there
This has to be the best value for a workhorse generator! And I mean workhorse! It spent all last summer being my power source, like it ran 24/7 for over 8 months straight, only getting breaks to change the oil, add oil, refill with gas, and clean the air filter. There are several models of this generator, some of them include the CO sensor, some are dual fuel capable, some have electric start and some are pull start only. This one is electric start with the CO sensor and only runs on gasoline. When I got it I was surprised to learn just how small this generator is compared to others with the same rough output. Set up was super easy and required only a few tools (which they included) to set it up, it comes with EXACTLY how much oil you need to break it in, the electric start works flawlessly, but for the first run I wanted to know how easy this would pull start and it started on the first pull! Just follow the instruction manual to a tee for maintenance and you will get a heck of a value for one killer generator! When the expected happened and I killed the motor burning it up in the Arizona heat at around the 6000 running hours mark, I called wen customer service to ask to purchase another motor since everything else about the generator worked just fine, and they did the unexpected! They pressured me into them sending me a whole new unit free of charge! They said it should last at least through the warranty period, and since it didn't they were sending me a new unit! AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM WEN!!! Night and day customer service from Generac to WEN! This instills utter confidence in my purchase of a generator or really anything from this company. Also worthy of note, when changing the oil it requires EXACTLY 16.9 FL OZ of oil in the crankcase, so I was able to re-use some of my empty disposable drinking water bottles (after letting them dry of course) to measure out exactly how much oil it needed every oil change. Also the owners manual says to change the oil every 50 hours of runtime, but WEN customer service said to change it every 24 running hours, so I have been following those recommendations with the replacement unit and it seems to be lasting a lot longer than the first one, I'm also not using it as much anymore since I got my solar system active (3-4 hours 5ish days a week to top up the solar system batteries before I go to bed.)

Great Generator at Excellent Price!!
Works really well. I have an Allegro Bus and the rotor/ stator went in the original cummins qd7500 and gonna cost $4000 to fix. I'm in Arizona and needed something that can run the Motorcoach until the repairs are made. This Wen generator runs everything in the coach had to order a l14-30 to 50a adapter to run the 240v to coach. Runs 2 Dometic Penguin ii air conditioners one 15k btu and one 13.5k btu, microwave/ convection oven and TV's, starlink and outlets for chargers ect. Really happy with purchase. Would definitely buy a Wen again. The only problem I had was generator kept shutting down every couple minutes (didn't realize co2 light was on couldn't see light in sunlight) but moved generator to different position(it was really windy). I guess the wind was blowing exhaust at co2 detector. Since then it hasn't skipped a beat.I highly recommend this generator especially for the price.

Decent generator! (I purchased the 5600 watt dual-fuel model)
I purchased the 5600 watt propane/gasoline version for use as a jobsite generator to power my HVAC/R tools when power isn't available. From a build standpoint this generator feels solid and well made for the most part. It's got a solid steel tubing cage, the gas tank has an inbuilt removable strainer and the tank gauge is well setup.Mine came fully ready to be used minus the fuel. Wen even included oil, a small toolkit and a funnel and a battery. I will note that you will most likely want to attach the wheels as this thing is heavy.I will note that the boots weren't the correct type for the battery included and the writing on the boots. Amazon worked with me to have that addressed quickly and nicely.I will note that with the propane connection it would have been nicer to have a quick connect as the included connections are threaded (meaning you need a wrench to go to propane).I did load test the generator and it meets it's ratings, I find the idle is a bit rough on gasoline but that could be the fact it's brand new.Overall I am quite pleased with it. It's compact, runs decently, meets it's ratings, and it solid.
