Excellent towel bar for small area. It fits perfectly in a small space and looks great with my other Kohler accessories.

We are using this towel bar for small hand towels, so no risk of weight causing a problem for us. The install is simple, and using molly bolts we achieved 50 pounds of hanging strength without hitting a single stud. This has the same design as the other Kohler Forte towel bars. So therefore if our 24-inch bar does snag towels, the 18-inch bar likely has the potential to as well. So beware if you're using this for large bath towels. If you pull them off the bar rather than lifting, you're likely to get a towel loop snagged in the metal seam.

This towel bar was standard size and had made a very nice classy look to a newly renovated bathroom. It was easy to assemble and had enough detail not to look cheap, but not too much ornate detail to look great in a modern bathroom. The parts came well packaged and were not damaged in shipping.

First line on installation instructions....USE TEMPLATE TO MARK POSITION ON WALL....There was NO template....I called Kohler and the phone rep were very courteous and apologetic when she confirmed that there was no template for that product....The "eyeballing" method had to be used to hang this item.....BUT...that's not all the news....the product was made out of three pieces and one piece fell off.....not enough glue??? I super glued it back on as I didn't want to go through the return and re-ship process....I wouldn't buy this small towel bar for $61 ever, except all the fixtures in our new home were that brand and model....It all had to match

Great buy and very nice looking in the bathroom. We purchased the whole Forte set in the bathroom accessories. They look very classic looking in chrome.

This towel rack looks good and installs easily but the central rod is a hollow tube and not very sturdy. I cannot use this rack as a hand hold since it would come apart. Admittedly, no one said you could use the rack as a handhold. However, the bathroom is a dangerous place and if you slip it would be nice if you could use the towel rack to steady yourself. On the positive side having a three piece unit certainly makes installation easier.
