The build quality is very good and they feel very solid
I bought these scales as I wanted something that would sync with Fitbit and not only were they half the price of the Aria scales but they included many more metrics. I was therefore sceptical that they would ‘cheap and nasty’ and unreliable but they are anything but. The build quality is very good and they feel very solid. The iPhone app Yolanda has so far been 100% reliable and does a great job of showing your measurements very clearly along with suggestions as to where it thinks you should be. I have nothing to compare to so I can’t validate the accuracy of the measurements but they seem about right and so far have been consistent which gives me confidence. The trends feature is great and as I work on my diet and fitness it shows me clearly which direction things are heading in.My wife also uses the scales and syncs with her own phone/Fitbit. We’ve had no problems with this or any ‘confusion’. My Fitbit profile instantly shows my weight, BMI and body fat % after I’ve been weighed and tracks the history which works great. Obviously you have to link your Yolanda account to Fitbit but this is as simple as entering your Fitbit email and password into the app.The only negatives I’ve found is they don’t work on soft surfaces i.e. carpets, it needs a hard floor. It would also be a bit more convenient if they were Wi-fi rather than Bluetooth so I didn’t have to have my phone nearby to sync but this is minor and hasn’t really caused me any problems or inconvenience.I bought to generally track my health and trends as I try to eat more healthily and increase my excercise for which it is working brilliantly. I can’t comment how accurate the result are or how reliable the advice is as I’m not qualified but I have no reason to doubt what it tells me and find the information very interesting. Would definitely recommend.

Questionable accuracy, annoyances using scale without app, and also in getting on/off scale.
[BASED ON 2 WEEKS OF USE] - Previous scale owner with another BIA (bioelectrical impedance analysis) scale.GOODI like the fact it gives many interesting outputs and that it allows you to store trends over time via an appBADI am sceptical about body fat readings as I went from 17% with old scale to 25% on here. The old one is much closer to my true body fat %, based on how your body should look etc. at that percentage. The fact that I need to have my phone on me every time I want to check body fat is also annoying (via bluetooth). You need to download Yolanda app and then have phone app open in order to read anything other than pure weight. The size of the scale is a bit on the small side for adult feet (i am UK size 9.5). It also sticks to your feet when stepping off, because it is quite light weight usually lifts off floor a little as you move feet off. I have to say I have given it time to see if these annoyances dissipate but unfortunately these things do still annoy me.Things that would help1. Sturdier design/ slightly bigger/heavier build to avoid annoyances getting on/off for adults would help.2. Being able to see your body fat on the scale itself without phone or app3. Syncing your data directly without the need the app to be running3. Having different modes for athletes and those that do not train.4. Looking at body fat by area in a better way and improve accuracy/predictions e.g. arms, trunk, legs, back etc. We did coomparison of two family memebers who came out with almost exact the same body stats and the scale gave very different predicted ages.Unfortunately already ready to buy another scale (Previous was a £30-40 Salter model btw).

Auto synchs with Apple health
These scales are fantastic. We've had them for three months now. You open the accompanying app and step on the scales and your weight and BMI automatically updates in the app. You stay on the scale for another 30 seconds or so and you get the following data:Body FatBody TypeFat-free Body WeightSubcutaneous FatVisceral FatBody WaterSkeletal MuscleMuscle MassBone MassBMRMetabolic AgeYou can then look at trends over time. You can set targets to aim towards over a period of time. The app also synchs with the Apple health app.

Scales
Seem to work fine, although I keep changing the app to show in stones and re- syncing and yet they still come up in lbs on the scales screen... very annoying.

A good scale, worked first time out of the box (after fitting batteries of course)
Works well, however I would have appreciated better, more detailed information (in proper English) on on the measurements.
