J1962M to J1962F, 15ft OBD-II Extension Cable (144203)

The picture does not match the product received today (PN X000FQ6RQL). The cable appears to be good quality. It does appear to be 100cm long, and as pictured, it has one right angle end and one straight end. But, on the right angle end the cable comes out of the opposite side of the connector from how it's shown in the pictures. I specifically needed a right angle connector, like pictured, to have the correct cable orientation. I can make this work, but it does not match the picture posted. It's not worth shipping back, so I'll either make it work, or try to find one that ships as pictured.

I was dismayed when I tried to plug my cheap BAFX scan tools into my new Altima and, because of the location, neither the serial or Bluetooth ones would fit. I thought I was going to have to spring for one of the "compact" ones, which seems like a waste since my other two work just fine still, and I only do light duty scanning every now and then and SES code checks. The extension cable fit a little snugly in the Nissans OBD port, but it FIT! and worked fine with the BAFX Bluetooth and Torque. The extension is an added bonus - I hadn't considered it originally, but it will definitely make driving with a scanner plugged in easier. I was going rate four stars, since I've only used it once to make sure everything worked together, but it's such a simple and affordable way to make using a scanner easier, I just have to bump it up to five. If I ever end up with another project car, I'll probably grab another one to leave plugged in all of the time

Ordered this item on 8.9.12, was told it would not arrive until 9.21.12, which was not an issue at all, received an email from TOMTOP customer service on 8.9.12 explaining the process, to my surprise my item arrived on 8.22.12, in good condition, the cable was of high quality and should work very well for my needs, looking forward to doing business with TOMTOP again, THANK YOU FOR A GREAT PRODUCT!!!!

Very good quality. Has been shut in doors and thrown around a bit but they still seem to be holding up. I use these at my diesel shop so I can move a truck outside to run a regeneration while keeping the laptop inside the shop door. We were testing wireless interfaces at the time but they lag too much and drop out constantly causing major frustrutation. Using this cable was a much much better option. Now if they only had this extension cable in a heavy duty standard 9 pin deutsch connector for our other trucks.

The ODB II connector in 3 of the vehicles in my driveway are all near the gas pedal in such a way that a straight cable or adapter interferes, gets knocked out or the cable gets tangled in your feet when you try to get out. This conveniently relocates it.

Used this to relocate my OBD-II port in a race build I was working on. Used the OBD-II port for data/metrics and had to relocate it to make room for other equipment. Clips in nicely and doesn't come loose. Didn't seem to affect the transmission or speed of data from the vehicle to the computer.

I used this cable to install an OBD-II reader where it would not protrude into the drivers space. The 90 degree cable was perfect for the job and the length allowed me to install the reader in the center console carpeting - out of the way. I'm getting good reading on the Torque app with this. A very good product.

I leave the Bluetooth OBDII reader I purchased connected all the time, but the plastic cover under which the OBDII connector is hidden doesn't close with the reader installed on any of my cars. I used this extension to fix that. On my NCV3 Sprinter, the cable is actually too long, I couldn't easily stash it away. Reader works fine though, and I'll just have to figure out how to route the cable...
