RAM Cradle Holder for Garmin GPSMAP 62/64 Series GPS

Not sure why this listing is showing a different cradle for a regular road gps? I got this RAM cradle for my handheld Garmin 64ST GPS. Fits it great. Seems very secure. I already the handle bar mount for on my DR650, but needed the new cradle.

Purchased the holder for my Garmin GPSMAP 64st. I use it on my bicycle along with other RAM hardware to mount it to my handle bars. The setup allows for quick and easy access to routes/tracks that I have pre-programed and gives me a visible display of speed/distance and time traveling.The quality of this product, like other RAM Mounting Systems products, is excellent. The holder would be the weakest link in my setup, only because the other products from RAM are metal verses plastic. I am not saying this is weak or cheap feeling. It is quality made and durable. It has to have some flex to allow for the insertion/extraction of the GPS unit. There is no fear of breaking from normal use. It also feels like it may survive a minor tumble of the bike. If presented with a major impact, it potentially will fail saving major damage to the more expensive GPS unit.I highly recommend this product for anyone wanting to securely mount their GPS to a bicycle.

I love Ram products. This is the third type of cradle I use with my suction mount. I have an x style holder for my phone and a cradle for an old Garmin GPS12. This cradle holds my Garmin GPSmap 64ST very tightly, though it isn't difficult to insert or remove the GPS thanks to the roller on the bottom of the cradle. Beware, it doesn't come with the mounting ball, so I cannibalized the one from the mount for my GPS12. Since I no longer use the older GPS, this isn't a problem. But, if you want to be able to switch multiple devices frequently, you'd be well advised to buy a spare ball of the size to fit your mount.

I've owned many RAM products over the years and I have always been impressed with all of the products. This is no exception. Good, positive, solid cradle for my GPS unit. There is no way my GPS can get fall, or even get bounced from this cradle. One thing that caused some confusion though. There is a roller at the base to guide the GPS into the locked position and when there isn't a GPS in the cradle, that little roller will rattle while riding my dual sport motorcycle!! The issue was that I could not tell what was causing the rattle..haha. Once I figured it out, I decided that I would remove the cradle if the GPS was not present.

An excellent product! Holds my Garmin GPSMAP64st securely and safely on my bicycle handlebars and gives full access to all GPS controls. It is vastly superior to the generic cell phone holder I had been using before and is very reasonably priced. I made a simple clamp mount which attaches to the handlebars and bolted the RAM cradle to it. It works so well that I bought another for my other bicycle.It should be noted that this product is made specifically for the Garmin GPSMAP series of GPS receivers. Other brands or other Garmin models will not fit in it.

Bought this to attach my garmin 64S to but there is no ball or attachment point on the back of it, it looks like they want you to buy that piece additionally, so basically this mount is useless as ordered. Only comes with some useless bolts. Very disappointed in this from RAM, just another way to rip off and soak the customer for more money and hassle since they could have easily put a ball mount molded on the back of this.

Decided to try this to mount my GPS to my MC (BMW 1200 GS Adventure) before spending $160 for a locking, steel mount. I was concerned that this would vibrate when riding making the GPS hard to read. Turns out this mount works GREAT! It securely mounts the GPS with minimal vibrations / movement even when off road. The only disadvantage is that it does not lock your GPS to your MC. But, that is not a problem as I just pop out the GPS and lock it in my saddlebag or bring it in with me.
