These collars are amazing! I was using the original collars that came with my ez curl bar and dumbell set and they were so cheap and would allow the weights to slide and move around so much.These Dark Iron Fitness collars are so easy to use and fit so snug...no more moving/sliding plates... Would definitely recommend! I have also bought the back belt and barbell pad and I have absolutely no regrets!Every product I have is perfect and looks amazing as well(Great Marketing)...I think the next product I purchase will be the gloves...they look fantastic as well.Thanks Dark Iron Fitness for actually putting out products that not only look great but actually work!!!

These collars fit a little snug when first sliding into the bar, due to the rubber material inlaid in the locking rings. I assume that will loosen up a bit with use, but even now it's no more of a hassle than regular spring collars.Locking and unlocking is easy, and I haven't had any issues with the collars unlocking on their own.When locked, the collars are very secure. No more wobble during floor pulls!I did have a slight shipping snafu (my package only had one collar in it). Amazon indicated that I would need to return it as defective and reorder, which was a problem as they were out of stock at that point. I contacted Dark Iron directly, and they sent out a replacement pair with no issues. I couldn't be happier with their customer service!

Been waiting to make this review until I had enough time with product (2 months @ 5 workouts a week seems plenty). Probably the only item I’ve ever bought expecting it to suck, but turned out to be truly 5 stars. Put them through deadlifts, shoulder presses, ez bar any way you can use the dang thang and honestly they’re awesome. My new gym has the metal squeezers and they’re total junk. Just hot, rusty garbage.Doing arm days as a lone wolf on bar dependent days was brutal. Example I did deadlifts/back then finished with biceps. Barbell curls, ez bar curls, reverse barbell curls, and then a wide grip+close grip superset as a finisher. Without a partner I realized I had removed the collars and put them back on something like 18-20 times - On a day I started with deadlifts and heavy back. My grip was shot to pieces. And as my weights got heavier this was becoming a weekly thing and starting to hurt my last few sets. So best $15 I’ve spent on anything other than gym fees this year.+they look a little plasticy but I’ve yeeted them off some stuff pretty hard on accident and they’re fine. I have no worries about the rigidity of the body of the product. I beat them up pretty good on a weekly basis+ they are snug as expected on first use, and ribbed bars aren’t quite a glide on but I feel like this is how the product is intended to be. They’re pretty death gripped on when locked. Haven’t had any standard bars yet they don’t fit.

Love these clamps. Went out on a limb and tried a style I'd never seen before , figured itncouldnt hurt for the price. I really love them! I can be a curmudgeon when it comes to switching things out and theres a very specific type I love at my box but they were a lot more expensive so I tried these. Now I wish my gym had these haha! It does slip a hair if you repeatedly drop the weighted bar but nothing crazy

I purchased a similar pair of collars many years ago that I’ve loved over the years, so when it was time to buy a second pair it was a no brainier to get the same type.Unlike the springy collars you need to compress to put on, these just slide on, the turn the lever to lock. I’ve used them with 45lb bumper plates, dropping them from 6ft high, and they don’t loosen at all. To remove just turn the lever and slide off.I must say these are a snug fit over the ends of the barbell, so if you have a bar with texture on the ends, you won’t be able to fit them on the bar. I had to shave my first pair down to get them on, but with smooth end bars it shouldn’t be a problem.

The style is similar to class that has failed me before. I usually use the typical octagon-shaped ones that my gym provide, but when these came out I thought I would give them a try since I have their weightlifting belt and I am a huge fan of it due to its qualities, properties, and warranty. Initial reaction is that these are well-made like they claim, and they have a slight walk to them when using weight heavier than 25lbs on an Olympic barbell. Typical uses for me are cleans, snatches, deadlifts, etc.

We bought this for our 1" barbell. It is threaded for it's own collar to hold the weights on. That's a pain having to spin it on and spin it off so I bought these collar clamps which slide on. Unfortunately, they don't offer a real tight grip when secured on this threaded bar. I think they would do fine on a smooth bar which is why I didn't ding them on the star rating. They're certainly much quicker than a spinning collar and they do the job. We just have to keep the bar level.

Amazing. I waited FOREVER for these to come back into stock. I hate searching the gym for barbell clamps when I need them. I hate when the traditional clamps get worn out and don’t clamp tight to the bar. I hate when other barbell clamps are so expensive. These clamps are very secure, quick to take on and off, and only $10. They hold up to heavy deadlifts, rack pulls, squats, and whatever else. They never slide around or come undone. I bought two sets, one to keep in my gym bag and another to keep in my locker at the firehouse I work at. The other guys use them and love them as well. Definitely recommend, especially if you move a lot of weight. Buy them quick, they won’t stay in stock long.
