I used these for a "decorate a baby block" activity for my daughters baby shower. Luckily I tried one before the shower because they are unfinished wood and to keep it simple we used Sharpie markers rather than paint. The Sharpies bled so I sealed the wood with Modge Podge before drawing on them and they turned out wonderfully! I would recommend using paint if you don't want to take the time to seal them first. I would definitely purchase them again.

I bought these for a baby shower. I covered them in colorful letters and had guests decorate them as alphabet blocks. They were a great size, the perfect number for what I needed. They arrived on time in a responsibly sized box. I would highly recommend.

These were great! We used them at a baby shower to decorate with stickers and sharpies as a baby room decoration and toddler toy. We had to sand them and spray shellac them before crafting on them to smooth and seal them so the sharpies would not bleed and the stickers would stick. And we will modge poge them to seal it all in. The blocks are beautiful craft quality blocks.

Blocks were the best toy my girls ever had. They never outgrew their blocks. At each age they played with them differently. As a new grandpa, l am making photo blocks with the pictures of our family members and pets.The wood is hard enough to be durable and soft enough to easily work.

I bought these wood blocks for carving - the wood split and splintered, and I found myself with a bloody block within an hour of attempting my project. I won't ask for a refund, as I suppose I could have gathered from the photograph that the wood is too grainy for ease of carving, but I won't review a product well that has carving in its name and lacks the information necessary to gather that carving is definitely not a primary focus of this product - until after purchase.

These blocks are great! Originally I was nervous that they were going to be coming unfinished, but they were easy to sand for what we wanted to do. They are a great size for making alphabet blocks for little kids and I was very pleased with the product. Additionally, DIY Crew proved to have fantastic customer service and were more than willing to assist me with my questions. I will definitely be looking into buying from them again!

Worked perfectly for as a "game" for a baby shower. Each guest had a letter of the alphabet and they drew things on all sides that started with that letter. Example: Whoever had the "M" block could draw "milk", "Mommy", "mermaid", etc. Or just leave a special note for the baby to be. The sharpie ultra fine markers worked perfect on them.

we used these to decorate for my sister's baby shower. they're great! we used scrapbook paper cut up into squares that we modgepodged on. we also drew on them with sharpies. some of the sides bleed with the sharpie ink, but it was manageable!
