I want to say this - hopefully it will help someone else that has the same issue I had, but i might be the only one 😄😄...I have an old American Audio VMS5 which is a 4channel dj controller. I like it so much, I don't want to change it (at least for now).I only had "RCA to Jack" cables and I don't really understand why, but up until I got this "XLR(female) to Jack" cable, i was only able to use the controller on 2 channels (A and C) - there was no sound on the other 2 (B and D). First I thought it's an issue with the drivers, then the software configuration (VirtualDJ), and finally I thought it might be the cables I'm using. Found another RCA cable around the house and swapped it, but same result...I am so happy I tried my luck with this one, as it actually fixed my issue and now I can DJ on 4 channels.You might laugh at this because you're probably a PRO, but I didn't know this and I didn't find any good advice online (probably because the controller is pretty old).Long story short, IT WORKS NOW!

I thought I could take a couple of XLR microphones and plug them into my laptop for stereo - it didn't work , nothing to do with the lead I'm sure, balanced leads and jacks probably don't go together..

Needed a good, quick connector to link with a phone/iPod/Bluetooth rx to a powered speaker that only has XLR inputs and this is the job. Quality with convenience is the name of the game, and here it is in this one connector lead. I didn't opt for an adaptor as that puts too much strain on the weaker socket/s. Always opt for a lead with the relevant connectors at each end, is my moto.

Proper 3.5mm mini jack. Fits perfectly unlike a lot of the silver 3.5mm mini Jacks that are available. I used the cable to provide back up audio on a separate recorder for a TV programme broadcast. Very happy with purchase

Cable looks sturdy and durable but couldn’t test it as I had to return it due to being misinformed about how far the XLR connectors could stretch apart. Before ordering, I asked whether the connectors would stretch over 1m, obviously as soon as I received the item, I could tell that there's no chance of this happening. I measured the actual maximum distance between the XLR connectors (not including the metallic parts) and it was ~80cm. I think this cable would have been a very good product if the Y junction was more towards the mini jack end as it would allow the XLR connectors to be more spread apart.

Looks like is made to last and was a good service from Amazon.

Does what it says on the tin . Quality perfect for me as I am using them underground and they get very muddy.
