One critical weak point.
A little tight for extra large, but I think they are meant to be such. They feel great, and they perform really well, however I have torn three of these socks while putting them on my feet at a weak point above the heel, on the Achilles, where there is a seam between two pieces of fabric. This is unsatisfactory and makes me not recommend these socks. Great material, great performance, but this one critical weak point has really disappointed me. I wish I could get a refund.

Great casual sock -- not for serious hiking
I got these because people commented on how they didn't get heat rashes wearing them for hiking. My issue is that Smart Wool or Alpaca socks are too hot in the summer. My ankles turn red and itch. So, I tried these socks on a day hike (3 1/2 miles out and up -- 2,000 feet of elevation gain). They were fine going up, but coming down, wearing the boots I use for backpacking, my heels became sore and tender. Even with just a daypack. There just is not enough padding. For a regular walk around the woods day, they should work. But anything more serious, they just don't provide enough padding. And yes, I use Superfeet inside my boots to help alleviate the pounding. Best for: athletic sock, running, casual walking.

Calves are FAR too tight, runs extremely small!!!
I am a size 12-12.5 shoe, 6'0, 190 lbs and i ordered the largest size they had of these socks. They were still FAR too small. Padding design is nice and materials feel good. They're ok in the foot though a bit snug but the dealbreaker is the leg/calf part is tiny and extremely constricting. I've had compression socks that weren't this tight. Description says they'll fit up to a size 14? There is no way someone with a 14 foot could wear these and no way would their calves feel comfortable with this much constriction or compression. I had my gf try them and she has tiny little size 8 feet, they were obvs too long for her foot but the calf part was still too small for her calves too. Do not order these unless you have tiny little stick figure legs. Waste of money - not worth the hassle of a return. Buyer beware.

These socks are a bargain!
Loved these socks. Went on a 5-day hiking trip in Yellowstone and these socks outperformed my REI smart wool socks.

Size chart makes no sense
I never had so much trouble buying socks before. I'm a men's 10 (Mostly medium in all clothes) but according to their chart I bought the XL. They were WAY too tight. So I sent them back and got XXL but of course, they are too long (and still tight). So I am retuning them and will try another brand. Returns were easy and they look like quality socks, but even the larger sizes are too small/tight in certain places. What a nice waste of time!PS: Another negative is the label tags use several of those plastic T skewers pushed through the sock material themselves when other brands use a simple label sticker that wraps around the pair without the need make holes in your new socks.

Took the time to write this. Means you should buy.
I'm not a review guy. I don't particularly like to take the time to tell strangers what they should and shouldn't buy but these socks have changed my workday. I've worn them a week so far and I love them. Just placed another order. They do fit snug, so if you have big feet, definitely go the larger route but they are extremely comfortable, especially when I put my boots on. Makes them fit better. My boots also do not smell like a bums underwear after a hard day either because the socks literally wick the sweat away like they are supposed to. I have dark hardwoods and I'd take my old socks off and walk across the floor and i would literally live imprints of my feet from the sweat. Doesnt happen with these socks.Buy a pair and tey them out. What's the worst that can happen?

Work boot socks
They are comfortable. They fit a bit too large (I wear a 13 and I ordered 13-15 size so likely my fault). They do not have the cushioning that I thought they would. I'm in my work boots for 12 hours per day and I was hoping to get something to relieve a bit of foot pain. For cushioning these to me are not much better than the 6 pack of socks that you can get a Walmart for about 1/3 the price. They are comfortable and breathe well but they are simply not what I was expecting especially for the price. I gave them a 3 out of 5 because they seem to be well made and are comfortable but again for what I expected they do not help.
