Bolands Custard Creams, 3 bag pack, 125g per pack

After reading various reviews that cookies arrived in a damaged condition due to the lack of protective packaging, I worried but figured I would take a chance. Thankfully, the cookies were wrapped in a film of bubble wrap. They were fine. Regarding the cookies themselves, they are great. Perfect for dunking in hot tea, too. They hold together without dissolving. Last but not least, they taste great.

I was looking for a British creme biscuit (cookie) that I remember from my youth. Although this had a nicely flavored creme middle, the biscuit part was a little dry and burnt tasting. At $4 a roll, this was less expensive than other English biscuits, be still a little pricey for a cookie. I enjoyed eating them a lot because of the delicious center, but will probably not buy again.

The biscuit itself was fresh, not too sweet which is why I like the UK "biscuit". It has a slight oat taste, and has crumbly texture with light cream in middle. I would buy again just for the taste, Unfortunately, the cookies were not packaged well and were broken due to the crumble texture . Doesn't affect the flavor but not something I would serve to others. bubble wrap and a box would have helped that rather then an envelope.

Bubble wrap and a good box saves these beloved custard creams that so often arrive in crumbs. Overpriced, yes, but they're the real deal and deliciou (enjoy with a cup of Yorkshire Tea!). Fresh, 2023 expiration date. Thanks to the vendor for taking care with great packaging.

In spite of being packaged as shown and delivered in a padded envelope the Bolands Custard Creams arrived with fully half of them broken and many little better than crumbs. That’s really a shame, because they are delicious. I will try some other brands and hope for a better result.
