The product description is absolutely misleading. These do NOT have a rubber outsole bottom which is grippy and provides traction. It has a perfectly smooth, molded plastic bottom, which makes the shoes very slippery and not good for running. I still kept my pair since my son with autism as extremely picky preferences with shoes that have no straps or laces and easy to slip on and off (as these are), but I wanted a tennis shoe bottom. I have tried a DIY approach and painted the bottoms with some fabric paint, which is supposed to dry tacky and provide a bit more grip. I know there are also tacky sprays out there that you can spray shoes to provide more traction for slippery bottoms. And finally, there's always sandpaper.They say you get what you pay for. But I've found American brands of kid shoes on sale for the same price but with much better materials and quality. But it makes me angry that the Amazon listing says there's a rubber bottom when there's not.

The insole was either not secured or was very poorly secured so it kept slipping down and out of place during wear, making the shoe very uncomfortable for my son. So it turns out I had a roll of double sided carpet tape. I decided to try securing the insole with that and it worked great. Now the shoes are comfortable and he likes them. However, I don’t feel I should have had to do any adjustments to make them wearable...so, minus one star.

I got these in size 12 for my 7 year old who is very sensitive to seams, textures, etc. He was very excited to have shoes without even velcro, since his previous shoes kept coming un-stuck. When he first put these ones on, he said they were too tight, and my heart sank. I convinced him to wear them a little more around the house to get his feet used to them, and after not too long, he said they fit just right! He's so happy with them, and says they're the most comfortable shoes he's ever had. Success!

My son just started Kindergarten this year and we were informed that they would need to know how to tie their shoes as the teachers didn't want to mess with it. We hadn't gotten to teaching him that step yet and he needed new shoes anyway. I stumbled across these and thought, Perfect! No ties to trip over if they come undone, no straps. Just pull on! Easy enough he can get his own shoes off and on with no problems. They've already been through the wash once (due to an accident) and they held up great with no color bleed (we bought red). I did buy one size up since kids grow so fast and they fit great with just a little room to spare.

Every thing about this purchase was great except that the inside padding is not glued to the shoe. It can be a pain if it bunches up. Otherwise, it’s lightweight, comfortable (including through a Disneyland trip), seems durable (3-4 months), looks pretty good, good grip on most surfaces, and the price is fair ($24).

This is my sons absolute favorite shoe. I am now ordering a size up and 3 different colors. We usually by Chuck Taylor slip ons but they dont come in red. Found these fir almost half the price. Hes actually outgrowing them and they've been wet and worn throughout half a school year and now almost an entire summer. He always grabs these 1st out of 7 pairs of casual shoes.

Needed a quick shoe as my son literally blew out the sole of his last pair of tennies that fit while out on a Friday night. Got these prime next day and am pleasantly surprised at the fit/function/look of the product. Easy to pull on and have stood the test of summer camp for the last 4 weeks. I will buy more colors once school rolls around.
