Do not be deterred by the negative reviews and give this a try! My 3 year old daughter ( yes! she still likes her gerber green beans)and 13 month old son gobble up the green bean flavor like it's candy! They just love it so much. I have tried it myself and can say that it does not taste fishy from the added DHA and tastes just like bland mushy green beans.Now, I have read some reviews on the concern on gerber using tuna oil in their dha baby food and was concerned as well, so I contacted the Gerber company and and asked them about mercury in the tuna oil they used and here is what they had to say:"Gerber's specifications ensure that in the unlikely event methylmercury were to be present in the tuna oil used for our DHA products, the level of methylmercury in our products would be well below the US FDA action level of 1 part per million methylmercury in fish and a level consistent with US EPA's reference dose, which provides a way of estimating the amount of a substance that can be consumed every day for a life time without posing a health risk, for methylmercury of 0.1 microgram per kilogram body weight per day. Gerber works with our ingredient supplier to ensure the Gerber specification is maintained"I hope this info helps!

My bearded dragon won't eat on her own anymore, and my exotic vet told me she can have baby food. I wanted to buy her the best brand, so I tried a few brands and flavors, and this was her favorite. My iguana gets finicky with her food, so I just put a tub of this in her tank and she polishes it all off in about an hour. I've tried other flavors, but this is the only one they want, and it's hard to find in the grocery store since it's always selling out. Subscribe & Save with Amazon is great. Thanks for making "my kids" healthier and happier :) Oh, the snails I feed outside LOVE it, too! See my pics. Yes, I'm a huge animal lover ;)

I wanted to feed my baby natural foods, so I opted for organic. The description reads "green beans and water" but upon recieving these there's more in there. Also included is gelatin (this can't be organic or good for babies), tuna oil (mercury?), choline bitartrate (not natural or organic sounding), and alpha tocopheryl acetate (ewe).Thankfully Amazon provided me with my requested refund as I don't feel any of that stuff belongs in baby food, especially if it's labeled organic. I'm going to stick with Beech Nut brand, organic or non-gmo.

Maybe I'm just biased, but I wasn't the biggest fan of these Gerber purées. I did like that they were organic, but they seemed so watery to me. I make a lot of my own baby food, so these just didn't compare. Also it wasn't cost efficient for me to buy these because my babies always went through more than one container at a time. I bought them out of convenience, but they weren't my favorite. My babies seemed to like them, so that was a plus.

I've bought 6 cases of this (within a couple months). 5/6 were great, but one had a problem with consistency. It was very oily and chunky and would not mix. I even tried shaking it up, but it still had layers of oil when it settled. I don't know if it went bad or what (ex. date was a year in the future), but I took some pics and will see about contacting amazon or gerber for refund. Would not serve the bad ones to my baby and will not buy them online anymore. All the other gerber organic foods from amazon have been great!

My cat has food allergies so I have to make her food once a week - it's just ground pork and this baby food (supplemented with a vitamin). My vet recommended this feeding method and she is super healthy a year and half after beginning. The vitamin is important if you want to use this for pet food though because it ensures enough taurine! She seems to love it, and the left over containers are convenient for storing little things.

My baby - and toddler - love these. Sometimes I mix it with vanilla YoBaby and it actually tastes great. The DHA in it actually comes from tuna oil, I think it's in the ingredients list but it must be a very tiny little bit of it because you cannot taste it, but if you are into watching what you are feeding your baby just know it's there.

This product has a good price and is organic, but it is VERY watered down. So, not only is it less food for the money, it's extremely hard to feed my daughter. It gets everywhere and takes twice as long to feed. I find it a real shame when products from huge corporations opt for poor quality only to boost their profit margins, which are already in the billions. They should afford to put out an even higher quality product than smaller companies. I would return this item if it were worth shipping, and would recommend strongly against this brand. You get what you pay for...
