I haven't had the chance to paint with these yet, but out of the package they seem nice and firm and the bristles seem to be held strongly by the ferrule. My husband and I both paint and have tons of experience and these are definitely priced lower than I would expect for the quality. The case is nice, it has velcro on the back of the brush holders so you can pull it away from the case for easier access to the brushes. It has a hanger strap, kind of reminds me of a cd case (for those of you old enough to know what that is). The palette knife does not have a holder itself, but does sit nicely in the middle of the case when closed. I had the impression (my own fault) that the case "stood up" say on a table, but that's not the case (pun intended), but that is not a deal breaker or anything, I just assumed lol.Aesthetically they are really pretty to look at, and give the feel of a more expensive paint brush set. I normally buy paint brushes individually but I needed new brushes asap and decided to give this a try. So if you're just starting, or if you need a new set of brushes, I'd say give this a try.My set did not come with a sponge, however, the type of art I do doesn't require it, so no biggie for me.Edit: My husband had a chance to paint with these, pictured is a 5 inch X 7 inch canvas panel with Gamblin 1980 oil paints. Worked really well and brushes cleaned up nicely.

Honestly I’m no professional paint brush reviewer but for someone who likes to dabble in painting from time to time these are perfect. Super easy to clean, every type of brush for every type of painting style; from small thin ones to do fine lines to even thicker and wider brushes for strong thick lines, not to mention it comes with a tool to mix paint and even sponges for texture painting. It’s a great set for a beginner or even someone more experienced. The brushes don’t feel cheap and they don’t paint cheap either; they give smooth strokes with the paint and since the brushes are so soft the brushes absorb the paint wonderfully and apply paint just as wonderfully. It honestly has everything an artist would need in a little bag. Oh and don’t forget it comes in it’s own little protective case that holds every brush in its correct place and all the rest of the tools. It’s truly worth the buy and worth the value. Any other paintbrush set I’ve bought for this price was a joke.

I love this set and the fact that they can be propped up! Very handy case to travel with and the spatula is small but just what I needed and will work for all mixing needs! Now the two sponges that it comes with should be packaged separately because it has taken about three days to come uncrimped from being smashed against the brushes during packing and shipping but they are ok once they uncrimp! Worth the 17 dollars for sure though great set/kit!

I have a number of brushes, both inexpensive and some that are pricey. I saw these in my search for new brushes and they seemed to be what I needed. I have become more comfortable with the long handled brushes and I like the nylon better than the natural hair brushes. They seem to hold their shape much better. I am looking forward to see how these brushed last. I will make another review in a month to update the quality of the purchase.Well it's been over a month since I purchased the Vikewe brushes and I have used them almost daily. I have changed my 5 star rating to a 3. I am very careful with my brushes and always clean them the proper way after use. Now for the discouraging news. The bristles in some of the brushes are shedding hair like a Husky in the Bahama's. I am somewhat disappointed about this because the brushes feel comfortable in my hand and I like the way they originally applied the paint to the canvas. I am hoping that the rest of the set will not follow suit and become useless to me. Hope this helps any potential buyers. I will up date as necessary in the future. Rarely a day goes by that I am not painting so they are being put to the test.It's now been more than a few months and I have good news. I'm changing my 3 stars to 5. The brushes that shed their hair have become stable and no longer shed. I am very pleased with the overall performance of the product and would recommend to any avid artist to give them a try. I have painted over 8 paintings with them and am totally satisfied with the quality.

These brushes are great. I had a cheap set before I had kids and i didn’t feel too bad when they got in them and messed them up. I saw these and the cool pop up stand function and decided to get back into it. (It’s been approximately five years since I e even thought about painting , insert sad face)I tried taking a video but either amazon hates me or I ramble too much. I think I’m going to try my hand at editing so I can time lapse some things.But I really enjoyed working with these. They are really easy to clean too!Also I can’t mention enough how cool that pop up stand in the case is. It does make it easier but it also just LOOKS so much better with your brushes waiting for you.The detail brushes are legit! I was really trying to test them out so I did a few sketches with them and they are almost like Color pencil drawings.All in all I am very pleased and can’t wait to make more with these

I'm rather new at painting (just took it up two years ago) and I'm self-taught, so I'm still figuring things out in the painting world. I've bought a variety of brushes to experiment with in my journey of teaching myself how to paint, and these are the best paint brushes I have worked with. I use them for oil painting and they hold up well. They produce a wonderful seamless and smooth appearance for portrait paintings and nice texture on landscapes. I highly recommend these brushes. Worth every penny.

The product shown on Amazon was with 16 brushes, but it contained only 15 like many other products on Amazon. The brushes also does not have the inscription as shown in the pictures. It seems some generic product sold by many sellers under different names. So buy that comes at lowest price with similar looks as they all seem same product. Not at all a high quality product as some buyers mentioned. It's an OK ok type, but at high cost. Could have returned but I missed the return window and also there is no return, only replacement. Seller would have sent the same product, so to avoid it, I had to accept.
