My five & eight year olds loved this!

My son and I LOVE this book. It is like handing down something precious. My dad and I watched Jacques Cousteau when I was a child and now I share that with my son who is also fascinated by the mysterious world beneath the water. 💗I initially gave my son this book when he was 3 and he tore it apart, so I highly recommend for a slightly older child. Now at age 5 he understands the story and loves everything about the book so he treats it specially.

The cutest, lovely and beauty story, with awesome illustrations!

I was excited that i was able to share my favorite fish scientist with my granddaughter via this book. It is beautiful in the pictures and words. She loves to read and read again and now has even watched a few of his old black and white shows.

Brilliant illustrations and good children's introduction to an historical figure. Wish this book contained more facts, but my 6&8 year-olds enjoyed it and asked questions that could lead to further reading.

Loved this book. The illustrations were catchy and the story well written. I needed a book to read to my 2nd graders about sharks and I found this one in the hunt. I loved watching Jacques Cousteau specials as a child, and what a tribute to an amazing man!

I LOVE this book! My first grade class loved it too. It is an excellent picture book biography, and there are so many teaching points in it. It is beautifully and poetically written, and the illustrations are engaging and gorgeous. My students audibly gasped at several pages.

This story skips over all the details and touches on the key milestones in Cousteaus life which is perfect for our 2 year old.The illustrations are magical and similar to the Puff the Magic dragon book by the same artist.Get it.

You can enlarge the beautiful illustrations to really appreciate them. Kids need to hear about pioneers like Cousteau. Inspiring biography.
