Super Strength Barley Straw Extract 128oz Concentrate for Ponds

Been using this product for about a year and 1/3 axre pond has improved 100%

I had a significant algae bloom in my pond. The prescribed mix would likely have controlled the algae, were it not so out of control.. I upped the dosage and the next day there was a noticeable improvement. Price for the product was better than other suppliers.

This product dose not state in it's information, that failure to use as directed may result in loss or injury to aquatic life and not for use on food fish. I brought this product Feb. 2013 and when I received it, on the front label it states, supports: clean aquatic surfaces, pristine water quality, and safe for fish and plants. After reading this I said this goes along with online product information and then read application directions, apply starting in early spring so all product information to this point seemed to be just what I wanted so I put it away until spring and then read the entire back label and the last section read attention: and words like failure to use directed, loss or injury, not responsible for any loss of aquatic life, not for use on food fish. Well the reason I brought this Barley Extract super liquid, which naturally reduces, this is how some of the front label reads, is for treating a algae problem in my pond, tank,or really really small lake, which I grow catfish for food consumption as well as other fish. It has been two months since buying and around April,1,2013 reading this bad news about fish and eat. I e-mailed the company about the lack of information on amazon about fish food consumption and the product labeling. The representative, said that barley extract was sold in health food stores and that regulations required this attention information on the product. I buy hundred pounds of catfish food a month for all aquatics in my pond, minnows, bullfrogs, brim, and turtles. I mainly do this for my grandkids, friends and anyone they care to bring, so there is no way I would take a chance harming anyone fishing in my pond with we have to put this attention info. on the label.

We have a large swim-pond, and as part of our regular maintenance we use Barley Extract to control algae - especially in the spring when blooms tend to break out. This product, while quite pricey, WORKS. It's one of our staple items we use regularly to keep our water crystal clear and free from algae! You get what you pay for. This product is worth its cost because it absolutely curbs the algae and helps to keep our water nice and clear when used regularly (see pics).

I was skeptical that barley extract would work on stabilizing my koi ponds PH. I tried it and it worked with 24 hrs.

It hasn’t worked the way that it was advertised!

junk. Did nothing for my pond. Beneficial bacteria does a much better job. Don't waste your money on this product.
