No platicizers for this girl!!
I bought my trivets to place under an airfryer and a veggie steamer. They seem to be doing the job for which they were purchased.The steamer mentioned something about plasticizers, which can eventually discolor your cabinet tops if used in the same place all the time (and mine is). The Airfryer just gets a bit too hot for my comfort, so I placed one under it as well. I just love them. I wish I had gotten some a bit larger, but all in all, these are great!!!

We just got a class top stove and I am a bit nervous about putting hot items from the oven onto it. Since purchasing these I use them every night. I love them. I placed one of my favorite heavy stainless pans hot from the stove top onto my cast iron trivet and the green paint melted onto the bottom of the pan. Grrrr. Plus the fact that cast iron gets really hot is an issue. These cork trivets are awesome. Made in the USA!! I am thinking of purchasing more. They store easily which is an added benefit.

I have a quartz countertop where the food got cold quickly when the plate was place on it. The cork circles do an excellent job of insulating the warm plate from the cold quartz. The circular shape make the cork hold up, and it is kinda fun to "Frisbee" the corks to the folks at the long end of the table. Will probably need to re-order as family gets larger. Great buy.

Great for protecting furniture tops
Great quality. Using several sets as mats for potted plants and they are neutral for all décor and great at protecting the furniture from any excess water. Cannot speak to the heat protection as a trivet but they are thick and durable. Recommend.

They were mildewed
Are these trivets made of quality material? Yes. Do they look nice and are they thick and sturdy? Yes. So, why the bad review you ask? Because when I removed the outer wrapping, they reeked of mildew! Yuck. Now, I don't know if this is a warehouse problem or a product problem, but either way, this is unacceptable and I returned them. It's a shame, because they looked really nice and were just what I wanted.
