Ok, like others, yes it leaks at the bottom. The amount that did didn't amount to a teaspoon (that's including what leaked out and what was wasted trying to get it out of the bag and into another container). If that might detour, ther is always those high dollar " three packs of yeast" at the grocery.Lol, ya right.look it makes great bread! and that's its purpose.Update.....5 years later it is still making bread!!!!I put it in large plastic jars and placed them in the fridge.....makes perfect bread to this day.

I ordered this last week. It arrived in a box with no padding or packaging material. The bag was torn and half the yeast was spilled into the shipping box and had to be discarded.I'm terribly disappointed in the manner in which Amazon shipped the yeast.I attempted to use some of the yeast in a bread recipe and it failed to rise. I think it was not only in a damaged container but also dead. What a waste of money.

This yeast creates beautiful smooth dough. I am sensitive to chemicals and preservatives and this yeast allows me to make and eat my own bread again.

This yeast is incredible. i love cooking with it and use it multiple times a week as a home cook

This yeast has a long shelf life and has the best taste. I use it for pizza, bread, and making cinnamon rolls.

I wish that this were packaged better when it shipped, I had the same experience as other reviewers of the bag leaking from the bottom when it came - there were at least a few teaspoons of yeast rolling around in the box because the bottom of the bag isn't sealed completely. BUT the yeast itself smells fresh and delicious and it's been working very well; my bread is rising, and that's the point, right? I bought this yeast because it's the only one I could find that was free of other ingredients - it's JUST yeast. I poured the yeast into Mason jars and put it in cold storage, I'm hopeful it will stay fresh. We don't buy bread, I bake bread every week so it shouldn't take me too long to get through 5lb! I was happy to find this.
