CLOVERDALE CO 78210 INC 7/8x25 Red Oak Edging, 7/8" x 25'

I built an entertainment shelf out of plywood with an oak veneer and needed something to cover the cut edges. This was perfect, easy to apply, and looks great. It may have been me, but it seemed like it had a hard time taking stain. I applied the stain and let it fully dry. When applying a varnish over the top with a brush, it liked to pull some of the stain out of the edge banding. Finishing is not my strong suit, so your mileage may vary.

This product just seemed amazing to us. We are big DIY people but had never heard of iron-on veneer. It was easy to apply and the bed rails we repaired with it look good as new. We applied stain and a topcoat and you cannot tell it is not original to the piece.

I have always used edging that required the addition of some type of glue to be attached to the edge of a panel. This is my first time to tryadhesive backed edging. I am very impressed with the ease of applying this hot glue coated product. I used my wife's old clothes iron on"cotton" setting. It went around the 3" radius curves very easily. After trimming and sanding I stained the oak panels. After finishingthe glue lines could not be seen. I am very happy with this product.

Had to do a small repair job on a cabinet just needed 24', this fit the bill perfectly. HD was selling just 8' lgths for $7.00 and my supplier only had it in 250' roll which was too costly. Easy to iron on trimmed off the excess with my edge trimmer tool and buffed the edges with my hand file came out perfect. Shipping was fast.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do as edge banding. Very good adhesion and accepts stain well. Very good price for the ammount you get in this package.

Easy to apply and is mistake friendly. Great product used with plywood.

Glues up well with an iron. True red oak look. A bit of steam helps sometimes in spots such as corners or curves. Good product and less cost than your big box retailer.

I bought this to finish a custom TV stand/entertainment center, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. There's not much you can say about veneer, but it is real wood, it is incredibly easy to apply, and it takes stain evenly and finishes well.
