Thick, heavy duty collar. This collar looks great on my black, ninety pound Lab/Weimaraner. The main leash loop is also heavy duty and sturdy. I feel like this collar is going to last for quite awhile. One thing to note however, is that despite the thickness of this collar, it should not be presumed that it will discourage or reduce pulling. If your dog is not trained and pulls while on leash, I would recommend a comfy no pull harness instead. I used an EZ-Dog harness for training and it worked fabulously. This collar is strong and sturdy, looks cool and tough and is exactly as expected.

Two for sturdiness and quality but it didn't fit our Great Dane. One the last hole and it was a no go. We thought about adding holes but then it wouldn't be able to slide under the part that holds the excess collar down into place. I'm going to save it for another dog one day but it definitely won't fit any giant breeds and not some large either. The dog also wasn't a fan of the two inch thickness so if it did fit we would only put it on him when going out because it would be uncomfortable for him to lay down in. It was very stiff although I'm sure it would break in eventually?

Wow - talk about heavy duty! It's really two collars sewn together as one so it's really thick. I don't need all of that thickness, just wanted the 2" width. Still a high quality, strong collar. Don't think that ANY dog could break out of this one! Nice color too. At $12, you can't beat it!!

I have a very strong 70 lb. pit bull/boxer mix, and this collar has surpassed my expectations in strength and quality. I've had him break a few others when he's on a tie out, but with this collar I feel very confident in leaving him out in the yard without direct supervision.I'd easily recommend this collar to anyone with a strong dog!

We just received the collar today and can immediately appreciate the quality and durability! I included pics to show how it fits not only on our 70lb Doberman/Border Collie mix, but to note that it also fits our 5-month old 35lb Dalmatian too! We ordered a second one for our Dalmatian for when he gets bigger, bc even though it fits him now, it looks a little silly. I was worried the thickness might be too much, having read that the collar is like two sewn together, but I didn’t even notice. The width is perfect, and I can certainly trust it will not break. For a dog with a neck any bit wider than ours here (e.g. bulldog, etc.), excess collar might be limited and not pass through the second loop; however, there is a first loop also provided to tuck the excess collar into. I would suspect this collar to cost $30+ in any pet store, so we definitely find it worth our money for less!

This is a nice, thick collar. It seems strong enough to tie out. Can't see any dog being able to break this collar. The only thing I don't like about it is that it only comes in one size. While it does fit my dog now on the last hole, if he gets any bigger, it will be too tight. His neck is 20 inches right now. Definitely measure your dog's neck, because if it's 21 inches or bigger, it won't fit. Also, the D ring is really thick, so I clipped the tag clip on the second loop meant to hold the excess collar length.

Man this thing is beefy!! The sizing made me worried it would be too big for my 33lb Boston Terrier but the Medium still has two more holes to tighten. We got it due to our new puppy that keeps chewing on our poor Boston's neck! He was getting seriously violated. I searched high and low for a wide and durable collar to help buffer the playful (yet increasingly violating attacks)....this collar is perfect!!! It looks big on him but that was expected.It's heavy, very thick, solid materials, excellent price and everything I was looking for.

My dog is a large, strong bull mastiff/cur mix that doesn't trust anyone but me and my husband. I bought this collar as a replacement for one he had finally worn out. It is responsibly safe and sturdy and I expect it will last at least 5 years or more. He is 9 yrs old so it will probably be his last collar he will need. He is an excellent guard dog with a large area to move around and this collar can handle his weight, movement (he jumps 6 ft in the air like he's a puppy), and his restraints.
