I thought I would have issues with the straps staying connected to the reel, but those have stayed on and I haven't had a problem with those. The plastic snaps on the other hand have not stayed snapped in place. Every time I reel in the cover, at least 2 of the snaps have to be refastened, and on one occasion all but two popped open. I popped a hole in the cover so that the snap could close, and it 'snaps' closed, but they have been popping open on me. This is the first time that has really happened to me. We've been pool owners for over 10 years so we're not 'newbies'. Just seems as if the plastic snaps attaching to the cover could have a tighter snap so they'd stay closed.

These were very simple to install on my solar reel tube. I spaced them out as I felt they needed to be and attached the velcro to the tube. Then I used a punch to make a hole in the solar cover at each corresponding location and snapped the attaching device onto the cover. Inserted and adjusted the strap and I was ready to roll! (Pardon the pun, I could not help myself.)I have been using this for about a month now and it has made taking the solar cover off and putting it back on so easy that I can accomplish this by myself now with no help. It is great!

Exactly the same as the original. Buying at such a cheap price is really recommended!

This was very easy to install, and it worked great during our hot summer. However, on the cold nights, the adhesive came undone and would not reattach the next day. I ended up wrapping it around manually to get it started. Guess I'll have to buy more glue to make it sticky again?Clips worked great. No other issues.

It has to double the plastic to install. Which really makes it hard to poke holes through. I didn't realize this when I bought it. I had to drill holes and install bolts where push through clips go through because they kept coming loose. They would not hold.

Surprised that there wasn't some instructions. Not complicated but not familiar with how they were to be used. One of the he sticky Velcro came off the spool shaft on first use. Requires some trial and error adjustments for a straight recovery of the solar blanket.

Very flimsy but I need them to replace the shattered straps so keeping them despite meh quality

The velcro is not strong enough to stay on the solar reel and the plastic attachments do not stay snapped on the solar cover. I would not buy again.

We use our pool every day and our pool cover every day. We had to get creative just putting the clips on. When they finally took, they didn't stay clipped together long. I would NOT recommend getting these. Too cheap - but I guess you get what you pay for?
