DermAllay Infants & Toddlers

At the end of last summer, we found that my granddaughter had a few small bumps that over the weeks gradually got bigger and spread over her body. As they got worse we took her to the doctor, who dismissed them and said that they would go away on their own in a couple of months. Just before Christmas, as the bumps had become much worse, still growing and spreading we took her back. At this point we had no idea what they were. The bumps had started under one arm and spread down her side, then infected that arm whilst spreading across her tummy and then her back, with a few small ones on the top of her legs. In this visit it was explained to my daughter and myself just what they were and that it could take up too 18 months for our granddaughter to develop the antibodies in her system to destroy the Molluscum virus. We were shocked when the Doctor said that they do not prescribe anything for the 'bumps' on young children, my granddaughter is 21 months old. We decided to do our own research on the internet to find out what this virus is about and what can be done. In desperation having found this lotion on Amazon decided to give it ago. It had to be ordered from the USA and it quite expensive but if it worked that was ok. We have been using it for a month now, and although only a small amount of the bumps have gone, they have stopped growing and the virus has stopped spreading, it is working but slowly. One word of warning, the lotion does not come out of clothing or furniture, rub well in and do not cloth child until it is completely dry. It does not hurt or burn the skin, which is essential when you have a very wriggly toddler. Not an overnight solution but a must if your child has a severe case of Mulluscum.

I've been using this solution for almost two weeks and some of the warts are going away. The smaller ones seem to take longer to respond. I would've given this five stars if not for the defective bottle I received since this is the first treatment I'm seeing a response from. However, I had to use a needle to puncture a hole in the top of the bottle since after the first few drops it started to clog up and nothing would come out. After having my husband "fix" the bottle it seemed to be working OK for a few days and then clogged up again and again as if there was a clump of dried up solution inside the bottle blocking any liquid from coming out. Finally I had to remove the top art of the bottle so that I could dip the q-tip into the bottle since I couldn't squeeze anything out. Other than the defective bottle this is a great solution to moluscum.

My son had molluscum when he was 4 years old, it was all over his chest and belly and down even the tops of his legs. Think he picked it up from a swimming pool abroad. The doctor said to just let it run its course but after a couple of months it just seems to be spreading. I read some reviews of different treatments people had tried and this sounded positive so I ordered some to be shipped to the UK. We put it on day and night and it never seemed to hurt or sting, after about 3 weeks the spots started to dry up and slowly disappeared. We also used tea tree oil in his bath. The only thing is that its a brown coloured liquid which does stain clothing but it was worth it. Could have been coincidence that his body was fighting the molluscum and it would have gone anyway but I would definitely recommend trying dermallay.

This works on molloscum but needs to be used daily for at least 3 weeks. It did not seem to work as quickly as the childrens formula which I used on my 6 year old. Other reviews have said the product doesnt work, I have found it has on my 2 daughters who have both had a huge amount of molloscum which were itchy and annoying for them. After around 3 weeks, the molloscum pop and bleed a little. They look unsightly after this and the skin can also be dry so I would recommend applying a moisturiser such as E45 once they have popped.I recommend this product as I tried every other method I had heard of to treat molloscum and none worked.

I never write reviews but I feel like I have to about this product because it's been a huge lifesaver.My 3 year old son started out with just a few bumps but they must have been itchy so he scratched them and they opened up and started to bleed and so the spreading of the molloscum began. Eventually he had probably well over 150 bumps all over his body and the pediatrician told us there really isn't anything they can do so of course I did my own research as I was desperate and came across Dermallay. Because of the positive reviews on here I decided to order it and give it a chance. It's now been almost 3 weeks and most of the bumps have dried up and are gone!! We feel SO relieved and thankful!I'll keep putting it on twice a day until everything is completely gone and we are now on bottle #3 because he had so many and the bottles are very small but that's okay because it's been worth every penny. We're just so happy that our son is almost rid of the molloscum!

I used this to help treat my 2 y/o son's molluscum, as a tree oil and Clearasil the doctor suggested didn't work well. DermAllay did seem to work for the smaller ones, although it took about two weeks to make them disappear. It did not have much effect on the larger ones he had on his chest. After dealing with it for 3 months I ended up taking him to dermatology and he got Cantharidin treatments instead, which blistered the molluscum and eventually disappeared.

I was hopeful that this would help, but alas my toddler still has the bumps and they have not changed. My 12 year old used it for a short time, but didn't see any change in his either.
