I love this! I have tried several other brands, but all of them failed. They would either not hold my tablet up or parts just broke. I have had this one for 4 months now, and it is fantastic! I love having my recipes so accessible! When I’m finished , it folds up under my cabinets.

The welded parts inside the plastic housing weren’t very straight so I had to spend some time with the vise and a hammer to make it work. Once I got the innards straight it went together and does a decent job. There are probably better versions of this that you could get instead.

The adjuster was too hard to operate. Had to return.

I used my own screws, other than that works as intended

I really like this older and it is perfect for your iPad or tablet as long as it is a 12 inch or smaller screen

Purchased this tablet wall mount used. Well made but has some major limitations. Doesn't work well for smaller tablets other than iPads since top mounted buttons will be pressured by top retainer. Also, power slot is on bottom whereas many tablets have the power connector on top. It will accommodate larger tablets in landscape mode to avoid pressing top mounted buttons. BTW: the spring retaining pressure is quite high. Little chance of a mounted tablet coming loose.

I wanted a TV in the kitchen. She wanted a way to view recipes digitally. So we settled on this with a mounted iPad and YouTube TV. WIN/WIN.

This Barkan 7-12" tablet wall mount turned out to be a decent product. Its up on a wall now and hold my tablet quite sturdily. When I press on the screen, it gives a bit for 1-2 mm, but springs back immediately. I think its due to the rotating mechanism inside the back side of the mount, which has to have some play in order to work. Overall feel, its sturdy and holds the tablet reliably.Two things I didn't like:1/ one of the side grabs covers the volume buttons; not by much, by about 3-4 mm, not a big deal, but I still had to carve a niche in the grab in order to avoid jamming the button. I think its a design miss, but not deal breaker2/ the mount came without a wall plate, which would be a more secure way to attach the mount to a plaster wall. The 2-screw method offered by the manufacturer did not seem secure enough for me, as the holes in the back part of the mount are too close, and the tablet is much broader and pressing on the screen would create a momentum which would loosen the 2 screws up eventually which I didn't want. So I made a panel with screws positioned much farther apart, attached the mount to it, and then the panel to the wall.I'm happy now. We can look up our favourite and new recipes and control multiroom audio from the tablet without a worry :)If you want a closer and tighter fit, go for a mount with no rotation. However this mount will work for most installations, even if you're not planning to use its rotation (we won't), and if you go for it, you won't be disappointed.

This is one of the best looking/designed tablet holders out there and is not inexpensive. Looks great, works well, but a bit stiff. I tried to loosen the arm bolts but there is no fine control, so if you unscrew the bolt too much the arm gets loose and rickety. The arm support is made of metal with adjustable nuts at the hinges, and is covered in a white plastic material with grey plastic insets top and bottom that pop out for easy access to the adjustment bolts.The whole unit folds almost flat to the wall and has a very slim form factor as it only sticks out about 2 inches from the wall. The spring loaded clamp makes it easy to attach a tablet and holds it very securely. The clamp allows the tablet to be rotated 360 degrees. All in all a great looking item and well designed.....if a bit skimpy on the build quality. The problem with my particular item was that even after mounting the arm to the wall and checking the bracket was level to make sure it was straight, when I pulled out the arm from the wall with the tablet mounted, the tablet was slightly off center, crooked or not level........so I had to actually change the position of the mounting bracket that connects the arm to the wall to try to make the tablet look level when it was pulled out, which results in the mounting bracket being not level. This was a very strange experience since the installation seems quite straightforward and all instructions were followed. The rotating plastic mount that holds the tablet has click stops at 90, 180, 270 and 360 degrees and doesn't really allow to stop in between, so theoretically if you install the bracket on the wall level, and then pull the arm out, the tablet should sit level as well. Unfortunately this was not my experience and perhaps I just got a badly made or balanced unit.I will try the unit for a few more days and see if it gets easier (less stiff) to use before deciding what to do.Such a shame that more thought was not put into the manufacture, performance and quality control of this item, since the design is really great and it has a lot of great features.......

The issue with this item is that it's designed primarily for iPads not Amazon Fire tablets!! That should be made clear. That was made clear I would not have purchased it in the first place. I wanted to wall mount my fire 7 tablet for added versatility. The problem was the fire 7 is too narrow for portrait position because the pressure mount is larger then the dimensions of the the Fire tablet. And in landscape clamping position Barkan mount-clamp will barely extend wide enough to accommodate it! I managed to do it once and felt like it was about to break and furthermore if you can manage to barely squeeze it into position the only way it will do so is when it actually presses down on the power and volume buttons simultaneously. like SERIOUSLY! :/ these are major flaws! In addition to that the item does not look exactly as cool as it does in the fake images they've advertised it is all white mic of metal & plastic. returned it asap!! disappointinghas some nice features, plus one of the better-looking units. May work well if you have an iPad but a smaller iPad

Excellent wall holder for a tablet or large smart phone. I holds up to a 12" tablet which should cover most and will hold Smart Phones as low as 7". It is very sturdy and has multiple ways to hang the base. Also, one of the very few that can rotate 360 degrees. Excellent product, would buy again in a minute!

I'm impressed. Simple yet versatile. Its used in the dart room for scoring when we play. I mounted the Barkan to the wall (easy installation instructions) aiming to hit a stud to ensure it would be a solid stance. The ipad fits in there so nice, even with an Otterbox cover on it, and it rotates just as it says it will. Well done Barkan!!
