Earth Treasures Volume 2: The Southeastern Quadrant (Earth Treasures (Back in Print))

The directions are a bit vague and not always correct but will get you in the ballpark. Still a valuable piece of information.

If someone were to give me directions to their home the same way nearly all of these directions to locales are described... I would only make it within a ballpark of a couple miles. I would never make it to their actual house.I am a hobbyist rockhounder, and found this book to be a waste of time. No where near as helpful as say, Jasper Burns's 'Fossil Collecting the Mid-Atlantic States'. Now that man can describe a location.

The author seems to be overly obsessed with agate (geode) deposits. Very little on fossil exposures.

It does not tell you where the locations are but nearby areas and some are private property.

Good. Just dry facts. But its good.
