I have read glowing reviews of this type of product and never believed any of them. I got a good price on this, so I decided to try it out. My son could not make it more than a couple of hours without wetting. The pull-ups were expensive, and were becoming less and less effective the older he got (he was 8 at the time). The first night there was a fascination with it, so I think that helped. FROM DAY ONE HE STOPPED WETTING THE BED! After about three weeks with no accidents, he did have a slight one, but the alarm woke him up immediately, and he was just barely damp. The next step was to try without pull-ups, and then finally without the alarm. His greatest pride that he was able to spend the night with a friend and not worry about embarrassing pull-ups or wetting the bed.My only caveat with this is that it can be triggered by sweating. It may take you a few tries to get it located in an area where it will be effective and you don't get false alarms because of sweating.

Our son is extremely difficult to wake up and the first couple weeks he slept through the alarm, while I woke up. It was not until week 3 that he started waking up after the first few drops of urine. He probably would have been completely conditioned by now if I hadn't anticipated the nightly 02:00 am wake up alarm and spent a week getting him up before a bed wetting, thus potentially cheating him out of some of the training. (You just can't help but wanting to avoid changing sheets and PJs several times a night.) Finally on week 5 we are seeing so much improvement, that we're considering letting him sleep without it.The Malem alarm is priced comparably to the competition, however, it is clearly the best product in it's class. The alarm system is easy to use, cleans easily and is so durable that it survived being mistakenly put in the washing machine. The end piece that clips to his underwear is very intelligently designed, cleans/dries easily and fits comfortably. The product shipped with two sets of batteries and we are still on the first set. The only shortcoming, in my opinion, is that the alarm assembly fastens to clothing with a safety pin. While we have had no accidents with this pin, safety pins make me especially nervous when placed near the neck. I would give this product 5 stars if not for my perception of safety pins.Highly recommended.

The alarm lives up to its description: It works, it wakes us up, it's relatively comfortable although the safety pin eventually tears holes in pajamas. My 8 yr old son, who wet the bed every night, was excited to get started with the training. It's decreased the amount and frequency of the wetting, but he still wets at least once a night...after 12 WEEKS of using the alarm every night. I am getting a little exhausted of the whole routine every night without the stunning results that others report. And yes, we are following the instructions to the letter. How long until we can get some dry nights?

When I purchased this product my son was 8 years old and wetting the bed every night. We used this alarm for 3 weeks and fixed his issue. I was skeptical to try it, but after reading so many positive reviews I decided to try it because we needed things to change. My son is a very deep sleeper and needed help waking up the first week when the alarm went off. I had a baby monitor in my room so that I could hear when the alarm sounded and physically walked to his room and walked him to the bathroom. After a week of this he finally started waking up on his own when the alarm sounded. I'm so thankful for this product! My son can happily go to grandmas house with his cousins and not be embarrassed about having an accident. Would definitely recommend.

This loud device failed to wake our child and did not help at all. It is expensive and a complete waste of our money as of course there is no return option or money back guarantee.

My 6-year old son had had only two dry nights in his entire life, before we started in earnest to get him out of night diapers. We tried for a month to wake him up in the middle of the night, and it worked, but if we forgot, he would wet the bed. We got this alarm three weeks ago. After 5 days, he knew out to put it on by himself. He was "very wet" for the first 3 nights, then "slightly wet" or dry for a few days. He now has been dry for 12 out of the last 14 days. It's difficult to understand how it work, but it does work. He is delighted that he will be dry at night for his upcoming birthday in two weeks, and get a big boy bed to celebrate this achievement. I highly recommend this product.

Arrived earlier than stated, and works great. Also we saved a few dollars by ordering the alarm here vs the manufacturer.

Worked well for a while, then broke. Definitely an effective product, but was disappointed that it broke fairly quickly.
