So far I have used this a handful of times. I did the tin foil test as soon as I got it and the results were better than expected. Since then I have put a snowblower carb, spark plugs and circuit boards through it. Obviously not all in the same solution, but the unit heats and controls like it should and cleans the parts very well. I am happy I went with the bigger tank and the drain make a huge difference for changing the solution or emptying the tank for storage.I also like that there are no push buttons to go bad on it. They kept it simple and I hope it last a long time.I will update later if I have issues that arrise

I purchased this for cleaning antique silver and engine parts... it works great! It is a little noisy, because it is so powerful. But I wanted something that worked and is the best. When cleaning silver I hate the smell it creates of the cleaner so I will take noisy any day instead of the smell. This produce is great!

Work as advertised. Two issues: 1) 15min timer needs to be 2x-4x longer. 2) needs a heater.Good value for money though. I need to heat water on the stove, then put it in there. Buy one with a heater. 2L is the smallest I would go. This unit is big enough for a 10sp 28t bike cassette and small car parts. Does an amazing job cleaning caked on oil/dirt.

I've now used the ultrasonic cleaner a half dozen times in the last week, enough so that I now understand how the temperature works in relation to the sonic cleaner. In my case, I have put distilled water in the tank, and anything I'm cleaning goes into a ziplock bag with the cleaning fluid, whether it be gun parts in gun cleaning solution, jewelry in vinegar, a bit of ammonia, and water. In this fashion, the cleaning gets done without having to replace the water or clean the tank every time. The ultrasonic waves simply pass through the ziplock bag and everything gets cleaned as if it were in the tank itself with a solution.The unit takes a bit of trial and error to understand how hot to set the temperature setting, but the controls are straight forward, the short manual (supplied) is written well for a Chinese product, and the ultrasonic control and timer work as described. I purchased it principally for cleaning small gun parts, but I am finding multiple uses for it each day. Set the timer and heat controls, and walk away. When you return, the parts are clean with no fuss or mess. I would strongly recommend this unit, and this type of cleaning, and would purchase this GT Sonic System again.

OK, while I'm satisfied with the overall size of the cleaner which is enough for two carburetors side by side, the size is much smaller than advertised. 9 Liters should be 9 Quarts, which is approximately 300 ounces. Do not be fooled by the volume stated.

This was our first sonic cleaner, so we were a little unsure what to expect. We read and followed all of the instructions, and were very disappointed with the results. It was extremely loud, the noise was erratic and only way I can think to describe it was a lot of nails scratching down a chalkboard really fast; the machine was set up in my garage and could be heard halfway through the house with the door closed. The machine also put off a burnt smell after about 10 minutes, and all of this without any real results. We were disappointed but wanted to see if there was something we missed or maybe we had gotten a defective one, so I emailed the seller explaining what the machine was doing and asking for feedback. Well almost a week later and no response to my email what so ever, they sent me a feedback request to post on Amazon, so here it is. I went to Harbor Freight and bought another machine, which was only $79.99, and the difference is unbelievable. This machine doesn't even come close to being as good as the cheaper one. And just to be clear we used the same cleaning solution, same amount of water, and ran it for the same amount of time. I'm sending this one back to Amazon. Disappointed in the machine and lack of assistance from the seller, thank goodness it was shipped by Amazon so I wouldn't have any further issues.

The unit arrived in good shape and had useful directions. I will be using the cleaner in my shop for nasty part cleaning jobs. First job was to clean a 40 year old (brand new) Bulgarian Makarov pistol that had been stored in cosmoline. I filled the tank with Kerosine and emersed the parts, set the temp and turned it on. Several cycles were required to complete the job as the gun was a mess, but it worked great and cleanup was easy.

I work on antique and vintage sewing machines as a hobby. Many of these are 100 or more years old and have accumulated a pretty good layer of dirt and grime in their lives. Naturally, they work better when their internal parts are clean, and ultrasonic cleaners are great for the smaller pieces. I have only had occasion to use this unit once in the short time since I received it, and it works just as I anticipated it would. The heater brings the cleaning solution up to the desired temperature in a reasonable length of time, and the parts come out nice and clean. So far, it does everything I was looking for. The only question left to answer is how long it will last, but it seems to be well made and I'm not expecting any problems.
